Night Fury's Storm

Chapter 8

Kalli's POV

"What are YOU doing here?!" My mother demanded.

"As soon as Hiccup left Alvin attacked Berk. He took over. Your father is dead. The village wants to do a funeral but Alvin won't let them." Astrid explained herself.

"He's dead?" My father croaked.

Astrid nodded, "The gang and I were the only ones to escape."

She stepped back to reveal my dad's old friends.

"What do you want me to do about it?!" He sneered.

"We need your help. So Snotlout can become chief. And Berk will be safe." She replied.

"Why should I help you?!" He demanded.

"Because, he's at Berk looking for..." She pointed at me, "Her!"

"Me? Why me?!" I asked.

"Young blood. He knows what you can do. All of you. She has fire this one. A special bond with dragons. I can tell." Astrid smiled.

Snotlout pushed through the door, "Hiccup I want to be chief. But I can't do that without your help. I know you hate us for what we've done but please when all this is over I'd like to be friends again."

Hiccup crossed his arms, "Fine. We head to Berk immediately."

I grabbed my bow and headed out the door. Jason held my bow and arrows as he rode me to the village.

"Surround the Academy and blow the barrier. Jason you protect Kalli!" My father ordered.

Hiccup and Aviana shifted and climbed on their dragons. BOOM. I dived and transformed into my half fury form. I notched an arrow pointing it in the direction of Alvin. The thick smoke cleared revealing the broad shouldered figure of Alvin the Treacherous.

"Leave Berk alone!" Hiccup yelled.

"Why do you care?!" Alvin sneered stepping forward. His hand lingered over the hilt of his sword. "Berk threw you out. You left because they thought you were a monster. Then you save them and you get banished. Why are you here Hiccup?"

I lowered my bow wondering the same thing. Why are we here? Berk doesn't like us.

Alvin chuckled, "Your daughter is thinking about it."

"The chief is dead because of you. We're made like this to stop people like you." Hiccup answered.

"I will leave on one condition." Alvin finally said after staring at the group of hybrids and their dragons. He pointed to me. "She is the responsibility of my demise. I want her dead."

"Fat chance Alvin." Hiccup growled stepping forward his fire sword pointed at Alvin's heart.

Alvin grinned evilly and waved his hand giving a signal as he walked out of the gate.

Narration

An arrow from the cliff top soared downward towards the Academy heading straight for Kalli's heart. Hiccup and Jason screamed her name but she froze in fear. No one moved, too stunned to. The village prisoners gasped watching the arrow zip through the air.

The arrow pierced Kalli's chest. She stood but then her knees buckled and she collapsed to the ground on her side. Alvin smirked and left taking his men with him. Berk is left alone now.
