When it's finally dinner time all my fucks to give are completely gone.
Everyone sits in silence waiting for someone to say something but all we get is the sound of forks hitting glass plates and the kids loudly sipping their drinks and even they know it's not a good time to speak.
l eat loudly just to spite them, purposefully hitting my fork again my plate and moving it to create even more noise.
My dad shoots me a look which I ignore. Gran shakes her head along with my mom and aunties. My uncle ignores everything going on around him, eating quietly and quickly liké always
The silence continued long after everyone had finished eating. I sit on the couch in my room watching random videos while Noah lays on my bedtapping away on his phone. Scully lays on his little cat bed in the corner of my room.
After a while my mom knocks on my door while slowly opening it. "Out Noah." She says while walking in. He salutes me while running off. I click my tongue a few times hoping Scully would soon jump onto my lap but he never does. Rude.
She closes the door. "James is waiting in his car, you're going with him pack a few bags."
I finally give in and look up at her. "Are you kicking me out?"
Wow and I thought Scully was rude.
"I really don't know what to do with you anymore. He'll help you get your act together.
"Oh i'm sure he will." I scoff.
"Don't. Khaos, just don't."
"Don't what? Don't be mad that you're sending me away? I'm not, trust me. But hey, at least you're not locking me up and driving me towards insanity just you guys did to Jaxon.
"That exactly what we're trying to avoid! She snaps. "Everyday you act a little more like him all these little stunts and fights, I'm just trying to help you." She steps closer grabing my shoulder 1 shrug her warm hand off
"I'm not Jaxon, I don't need to be helped and I don't need to be fixed* I turn away and start opening my closet. "You didn't even try with him so why are you trying with me? You all turned your backs on him because he wasn't blood! But he was still family My eyes are blurry but I blink it all away. She doesn't speak, doesn't even look me in my eyes.
I cannot cry.
I will not cry.

Later, Noah helps me throw all my thing into my dad's car while I hold on to Scully and a bag of his things. When we're done me and Noah nod at each each other, silencing saying goodbye for I don't know how long
Dad doesn't ever drive in silence and I don't know why I expected him to now.He starts lecturing me on my manners and I tune him out
When we get to his house he helps me carry my things to my old bedroom and leaves me to the dark, silent night.
At least Scully is with me. Scully won't leave me.
I spend the next day in bed with a sleeping Scully, occasionally getting up to go to the bathroom and taking scully with me so he can us the bathroom too.
That potty training litter box really came in handy.
I text Noah to see what's going on at the house and he takes forever to reply, eventually telling me it, was the same as yesterday. Awkward silence.
When dad gets home from work he makes me eat dinner with him. Burgers and fries with a Dr. Pepper. The same as when I was younger.
"You're not staying here." He finally says, his words breaking the awkward silence.
I pause and look up at him. "Then where am I going to stay? You told mom I'm staying here." I question.
He clears his thought. "I found a boarding school. It's stricter than a public school and boys only.
The last part makes me snort. "Like that'll help."
"Well obviously nothing me and your mother try is going to stop you but this place is meant to help kids like vou." That last part catches me off guard.
"What do you mean "kids like me"?" I ask him stuffing another couple fries in my mouth which makes him roll his eyes.
"Troubled kids. Spoiled kids, I have a friend who got you in last minute. You'll be joining next week. No whining. You are not getting out of this one."
I don't whine. I grumble a few cusses at him and take my food upstairs to sulk in the privacy of my room.
