After everyone ready we all start our mission to find eggman.
I really wished that I could just do this mission alone or do this mission with Rouge.
• Flash back •
"Why me? Why do I need to team up with them?" I rolled my eye
Rouge sigh "Is there any wrong for you to team up with them?"
"Please Shadow just this time, I won't ask you to team up with them anymore after this" she put her hand on my shoulder
I didn't respond anything at her not even look at her
"Here take this" she gave me a watch
"A watch?"
"You can communicate with me using this watch. I will stay here, maybe I can found something useful in eggman lairs. I will inform you if I found something that might be useful for you"
"I never said that I accept-"
"You have no choice you have to do it"
I sigh in defeat "Fine."
• Flash back end •
We went town to town to find eggman but there's still no sign of him. The only thing we found was only his badnicks attacking peoples.
We keep continue our walks, without noticing that it was almost sunset
"There's still no sign of him, he was like just disappear from earth" Tails sigh
"Don't give up yet Tails! I'm sure he's just being a scared cat" Sonic put his hand on the fox shoulder
"I think we should take some rest after a long day fighting badnicks"
"Amy is right we should take some rest, we can continue our adventures tomorrow. I'll go find some wood for us" knuckles say before he walk away
"I'll come with you knux!" Sonic followed knuckles
Amy and Tails built the tent for them to sleep while Sonic and Knuckles find the woods.
I far away from them without they notice. I stop at a place and look at the watch that Rouge gave me.
I click at the watch and call rouge
"Rouge have you found anything yet in Eggman lairs? Maybe some clue?"
"Not yet Hun. There's too much badniks. I'll try my best to find something tomorrow"
"Fine"
"See ya later Hun"
The call ends.
I sit down at the grass and watch the sunset. I don't really care about the others, it not like they would been searching for me rn.
I could just easily go find eggman without them it would be more faster than team up with them. Or maybe I really should go without them tonight.
"Hey Shadow what are ya doing here all alone?"
I flinch a bit when someone called me from behind, I look around to see who it was.
Not him again...
...Ofc it was Sonic. That faker won't leave me alone will he?
"None of your business"
"Is it now"
I growled
"What do you want."
"Nothing just checking up on you, you've been missing after me and knuckles went finding some woods"
"I'm fine now go"
"Rude" he chuckles
He slowly walk to me and sit beside me. This fool, I didn't even say that I allowed him to sit besides me.
"I told you to go away"
"Relax Shadow I just want to spend time with you"
"I don't have time for this"
"It not like you are doing something right now"
Why won't he just leave me already
"...How did you find me here"
"I didn't I was just taking some walk then I found you sitting here all alone"
I didn't say anything after that. I look at the sky trying to ignore him. I didn't even notice that it already night
"It's already night you should go sleep or whatever you want"
"Aww you do care about me"
"What? No. I don't even care about you"
He smiles at me
"Hey shadow"
"What do you want this time faker."
"Chill I just want to ask you a question"
"Make it fast"
"This is kinda stupid but what if one day I died will you maybe care about me?"
"I don't know, if you really want to know then die and see if I care About you"
He didn't say anything after that.
"I actually have a bad feeling about that egghead plan, he never beat us yet before but I feel like something trying to tell me that there's something serious that will happen"
I look at him, I never hear something like this from him before. That faker always being confident and cocky all the time.
"Why are you telling me this?"
"I actually don't really know why I told you this"
Both of us didn't say anything after that.
"...Hey Shadow, just saying that.... even if one day I'm not here anymore" he say calmly at me
"Even you don't care about me, I will always be there for you in spirit"
I Didn't say anything, I was just looking at him.
"If you really miss me then close your eye"

He lower his head, he was silent for some minute. He then stands up
"How about we go to sleep now, it getting pretty late"
I nodded. I know I already planned that I should go find eggman without them but something tells me that I should stay with them.
"Sure I guess"
"Who get there first is the winner!" He run to the place after he said that.
I smile a bit then I start to run to the place and try to win the race.
