Y/n's pov

2 weeks later.

"Ugh Mina! You have to hold it like this, away from your face." I rolled my eyes for nth time at Mina who was unable to hold the test-tube containing concentrated acid. We were doing a lab experiment and she was my partner, and from our first encounter I could clearly say that she doesn't like me. Huh. As if I cared. But it's annoying to work with someone who doesn't like you and herself is annoyed of you and for God knows why.

"Can you shut up? I know what am doing!" She raised her voice making me slam my palm on the counter and say "You don't even know how to hold a test tube, like seriously? How did you even pass the practicals?" I questioned genuinely because anyone could say how bad she was in lab. She came inside without wearing her mask and her lab coat.
She doesn't know what is H2SO4, when we asked her to bring that she asked how it looked.

Ugh- I seriously wonder how did she even qualified for this job.

"You-" she hesitated at first but then replied anyways "I think you the are one who is out of her mind, think twice before accusing someone. I came here with my talent and hardwork unlike you who has a rich father."

Well that was rude! What is she even trying to say?
"What? Rich father? I do have a rich father but what do you mean by that ugly bitch."

"Oh look at this dumbass! You don't get that? So let me state it clearly again! I am the one who qualified with hardwork and you did it with your father's money." She said with a smirk making everyone crowd around us.

"Father- I am here because my marks had standards not because of my father's status or money. But why am I even saying anything to someone like you? You are a medical student who doesn't even have a basic idea of what an acid is capable of doing and that's why you are about to pour it on yourself." I snatched the test tube from her hand which was in an angle because of which the liquid could've fell on the ground and splashes of it could've hit us and harmed us.

"Calling your lack of basic knowledge talent and hardwork is indeed a talent Mina." I smirked when she realised why I snatched it from her. She looked hesitant before taking two steps forward and then hitting the test tube with her hand spilling it on the ground.

"What did you do-" before I could complete I heard so-hee scream, when I checked I saw splashes of acids fell on her feets and her leg was already radiating red.

"So-hee!" I said as some of her friends quickly took her to the medical room.
"You stay here! Don't come to her!" So-hee's boyfriend pushed me asking me to stay where I was as all of them took her away.

"What is going on?" Finally after what it seemed to have been an eternity our lab professor came in with a frown. Before I could start explaining another of the students started "y/n and Mina had a fight due to which the acid fell onto so-hee's feet."

"What?!" Professor had his eyebrows leaving his forehead.
"Professor ji-" he cut me with his yell "No excuses! Do you know how dangerous it can be to be this irresponsible in a lab! Both of you are suspended from this lab for the next two weeks! And you need to pay for what you did to our equipments. Now get out!"

"You are the one responsible!" I pointed my fingers to Mina who was enjoying her drink with great interests. She ignored my presence like air and finished her drink.

"Mina!" I screamed on top of my lungs just to finally grab her attention, she hopped down from her seat dusting her dress she said "I know my name, you don't have to be this loud."

Her sentence did shut my mouth. I am embarrassed to state but if things were different I would love to have a friend like her, sassy tongue. But nah- she irritates the shit out of me.

I gritted my teeth with my eyes closed and loud exhales.

She said "stop gritting, I can hear the clattering of your teeths." I opened my eyes and almost jumped on her punching her but I stopped when I realised I am not brought up for that.

"Mina...just apologize, I need your apology." I kept calmly with my jaws clenched to which she smiled like a hyena  saying "Let me offer you a glass of dragon fruit slush. I can't afford more than that."

Now I know where this was going.

I tilted my head and released a throbbing scoff "so you still-"

"I can't afford to pay for the lab equipments thats why I am offering you a dragon fruit slush-"

"I don't need you to pay for that either but just apologize-"

"I WON'T." She paused and then continued "I would also take your demeanor as a denial to my slush offer. Good bye rich brat."

And with that she left me on the spot gaping like a fish.

"Huh- why-why is she so done with my riches? Like I didn't even show off yet! What wrong did my money do her!?" I questioned the air when she left.

I waited for jungkook to arrive as I checked the time and he was almost half an hour late. I remember me and jungkook coming back to normal terms after our small argument weeks ago. He said I can't stop him from doing his duty at that I couldn't help but agree because he wasn't causing me any problem and since he did not have any problem either so...I sighed and was about to book myself a cab when I heard "y/n."

I quickly turned finding so-hee smiling, "so-hee how are you! Is your leg okay?"

She chuckled a little saying"not really, it'll take time."

"I am sorry, I should've been careful." I said with concern to which she waved her hand in the air saying "It's alright, I know it was Mina who wasn't carefull, she threw it I saw it from my two owned eyes but I am hurt you never came to check on me in the medical room."

"I wanted to but your boyfriend pushed me away when I tried!" I argued to which her boyfriend from beside scratched his back saying "Hey man! I am sorry. Shouldn't have been this rude."

I nodded and rolled my eyes at that he commented "I am her boyfriend what else do you expect?"

"Ikr!" So-hee hugged and kissed him on his cheeks making me look away. Cringe!

"Why you looking away?" The boyfriend asked making me sarcastically reply "You guys are cheesy!"

"You never had a boyfie or what?" So-hee asked with a chuckle dulling my smile.

I recalled that...even me and taehyung had done cheesy things on the road in the public. I wonder how I became a hypocrite to judge others badly for the same thing I enjoy.

I looked down on the road and said "I do-"

Before I could complete I was cut off by a vehicle stopping just before me. I started to panic when I realised it was jungkook "okay guys! Bye!! I'll see you tomorrow again-"

I stopped when he got out of his car and came out opening the door for me.

Why!!

"Sorry I am late." jungkook said infront of them making them turn their heads towards me with So-hees eyebrows raised and her boyfriend's jaw dropping looking at the expensive car.
