"Afternoon."
JJ rolled his eyes at John B's amused voice as he walked into the kitchen, spotting his friend grinning at him.
"It's only half twelve leave me alone." JJ grumbled, but he was smiling slightly.
John B chuckled, and quickly set about making JJ a much needed cup of strong coffee.
"Where are the girls?" JJ asked.
"They went food shopping." John B replied. "We haven't got much food and we're all starving."
"Tell me about it." JJ grumbled, his stomach growling as if on cue. "Do they have money?"
John B nodded at JJ's frown. "Sarah has her Dad's card." He said. "Oh um, also, we kinda decided it was a good idea to keep our mouths shut about El Dorado, just for the time being. We thought that was the last thing any of us would want to be dealing with right now, the cops, the press, the fame - I've stashed the gold somewhere safe don't worry, but it's probably best to keep quiet, especially with people like Rafe probably still around."
JJ thought for a moment. "That's probably a good idea." He breathed, before smirking. "But only for the time being, there's a leather jacket I've had my eye on for years."
John B chuckled, handing JJ a mug and leaning against the kitchen side. "On another more important note." He said slowly, trying to keep the smile from his face but failing miserably. "You and Kie."
JJ choked on the sip of coffee he'd been taking, coughing a little before taking a deep breath.
"What's going on there?" John B asked. "I think all of us noticed something on the journey home."
JJ sighed a little. "If you must know-"
"I must."
JJ rolled his eyes. "Yes, we kissed." He mumbled.
John B's face lit up, and the look he gave him actually made JJ smile a little.
"You deserve each other." The brunette said with a smile. "You always have."
The last sentence was said a little firmer, and it made JJ smile and nod a little, giving his friend and grateful look before glancing up when they heard the front door open.
The two girls walked into the kitchen a second later, both with two shopping bags each which the boys quickly took from them with hungry eyes.
"Oh finally." John B breathed, already rooting around in one of the bags to find something to eat.
None of them could remember the last time they'd properly eaten. They'd had something small when they'd got in last night, but there hadn't been much in the house, and definitely nothing to cure their hunger, so John B didn't hesitate in throwing four frozen pizza's in the oven.
"Dibs the ham and pineapple." JJ said as they impatiently waited for them to cook, and if it wasn't the middle of the day he would've just suggested ordering pizza, but nowhere would be open.
"Pretty sure that's all you Jayj." Kiara muttered, making a disgusted face as she took a bottle of Cola from one of the bags and poured four glasses.
"Nothing wrong with Pineapple on pizza." Sarah spoke up, giving JJ a smile.
"You want it?" JJ asked.
Sarah just laughed. "Nah I'm good, you go ahead." She told him.
JJ nodded at her, before taking a deep breath. "When we've eaten I'm gonna pop back to the Shack," He breathed. "Grab whatever I can before I'm kicked out completely."
