++++Two years later++++

Yeosang knew from a very young age that he would be the next golden witch. Since his parents passed away when he was twelve years old and the current golden witch took him in and raised him. The witch had said immediately that Yeosang would be the perfect replacement for him when he died.

The Golden Witch was only in his late thirties, and Yeosang was only seventeen, however, with the recent assassination of the White Witch, they had to be prepared for anything and everything.

Yeosang had always been a sweet and innocent person, he never hurt anyone and cared for every animal he came across. This annoyed some people, but the golden witch knew that he would be perfect.

The witch had found Yeosang crying in the streets and took him in when he learned that his parents had both died when his house burned down.

And that is how Yeosang ended up in the library studying the past and present of witches. The current eight witches were the late Kim Namjoon, the white witch, Kim Seokjin, the orange witch, Kim Taehyung, the purple witch, Min Yoongi, the black witch, Park Jimin, the green witch, Jeon Jungkook, the golden witch, Im Nayeon, the blue witch, and Park Jihyo, the red witch.

He had learned a lot about the witches, including the fact that all of them were kind. He had met them all during a meeting they had, Jungkook had decided to bring Yeosang along for him to understand how this stuff worked. Jungkook treated Yeosang's training like school, he was always practicing, studying, or doing homework.

A lot of homework.

Yeosang let out a long sigh of relief as he finished reading the chapter in the history book, the noise alerting the older male in the room. Jungkook chuckled as he handed Yeosang another book. The shorter boy's eyes turned the size of a baseball and his mouth dropped.

"Another one?!" The boy cried, staring at his mentor. "But this one took me four hours to read!"

"You don't have to read it now, just read it by next Monday," the older chuckled, ruffling Yeosang's hair, causing the smaller boy to pout.

In Jungkook's eyes, he looked absolutely adorable, he would be the perfect Golden Witch.

The endless studying and mentoring went on for another two weeks. The last two weeks of normal Yeosang would ever experience.

He remembered that night clearly, he was working in the garden with his neighbor Tzuyu. They had been tending to some plants that Jungkook needed for healing remedies (Yeosang had asked him why he needed to learn healing remedies when he could heal, and he just received a shrug and an "I'm bored").

When the first gunshot went off, Yeosang assumed it was an accident. The town he lived in had little to no violence in it.

But when the second, third, and fourth went off, he knew something was wrong. But the detail that made his heart skip a beat was the fact that the shots were coming from Jungkook's house.

The boy ran as fast as he could to the small cottage that the witch lived in. Really, he should have been smarter. Because running into a house that potentially has someone dangerous in it is not a good idea. However, this was Jungkook and Yeosang was high on adrenaline. He burst through the door and searched the house from top to bottom, searching for any signs of the older male.

He found some signs eventually, but they weren't what he wanted to see.

The blonde followed the splatters of blood to where he found the dark-haired witch on the ground. He was shot twice, one bullet in his leg and the other in his stomach. He was dying quickly.

"Jungkook!" Yeosang cried out as he dropped to his knees next to the man he had considered a father. "Heal yourself!"

The older only responded with a sigh and a shake of his head. "Yeosang, it was time for me to pass on my powers anyway, you are ready," he said. Yeosang repeatedly shook his head with tears running down his face.

"But you can't die!" He cried.

"I need you to promise me that you will swear the oath of the golden witch, and take my power, I don't have much longer left to live."

Steady hands met shaking ones as golden magic flowed from one person to the other.

"I'll find who did this," Yeosang mumbled before his entire life flashed by and the world around him faded to nothing.
