(Just thought id include the French voice of Franceour in the video!! It's on YouTube if you want to take a listen!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Emille says that in a relationship trust is a key factor so I'm going to trust Odette on whatever these "complications" are. We could be married right now but I think it seems a little unfair since Emille and Maud will be married soon.
We decided that we would announce our engagement at their reception dinner. That's as long a I could ever wait.
I carefully pulled on my white gloves in the dressing room Lucille and I shared. Occasionally i preform solo acts and there is usually a good turn out. I get nervous knowing Lucille isn't at my side but the nerves melt away instantly before i hit the stage.
It's the cheering and the applause. I don't want to sound vain but it gives me a wonderful feeling that they actually like me. Acceptance.
I grab my guitar from the sofa and make sure it's in tune. Lately I've only been writing songs about Odette for there's no other thing I can think of. The song that I'll be performing was inspired by our kiss the other day and I smile, remembering how it made me feel. Odette's not preforming tonight and I expect she's with Lucille and the others in the best set in the house.
I open the door and I'm greeted by the chants of the audience. Why does the crowd have more feminine voices when I do solo acts? This always confuses me.
I take a breath and stride onstage and I'm welcomed with a shower of clapping hands and woots. I look to my upper left and their they are clapping with the crowd. Odette blows me a kiss and I retch out hoping to grab it.Odette's Prov
He put my kiss in his pocket and I just marvel at how romantic he is without meaning to be.The crowd slowly dies down as I look down from the balcony.
"It's a good turn out, with this monster fiasco" I commented. "Well some of these fine ladies would never miss one of Francoeurs solo performances" Raoul said leaning back in his chair. "Oh....really?" I said gazing down again at the majority of female viewers giggling with excitement.
"Yup, guess he's smooth with the ladies. Since I'm taken who else are they going to swoon over?" He asked with a smart grin while Lucille rolled her eyes.
"I dedicate this song to the women that captured my heart" Franceour announced shifting his eyes in our direction. I beamed but I couldn't ignore the longing sighs of the young women in the audience.
He started counting to the musicians in the pit and with a strum of his guitar it began. Hearing him preform alone was so different. This song was different as well. Edgy but soft and smooth. It was almost hypnotizing watching him. His voice was his voice but it sounded different. It was like he was whispering the words in my ear and his motions where few but it made a difference when he did move.
I tore my eyes away reluctantly and I found myself peering at the crowd. The women all had their eyes glazed over almost like lifeless beings only hungry for the thing capturing their attention. A kind of scowl formed on my face and my whole face was becoming hot.
Still enjoying the rest of the song but still fuming I crossed my arms.
His saran-aid ended and my face became even hotter as all the ladies were the first to give a standing ovation and cheer wildly which seamed a little indecent.
Wait.....did one actually faint? "Agghh" I express distastefully as I clap with everyone else. He bowed deeply receiving final praise from the ladies and the curtains close.
"Now that's how you saran-aid a girl! Taught him everything he knows!" Raoul said proudly as we got up from our sets to go down to the stage.
'I think you taught him a little too well' I think as we made our way down.
"Hey big guy! Great song tonight!" Raoul winked and playfully punched Francoeurs shoulder.
He sheepishly rubbed his arm and smiles innocently. It shocked me how he instantly changed his demeanour. "I'm so proud of you! Your getting so good at writing your own songs." Lucille smiled affectionately.
"Well, it was all Odette. She made me feel that way to write it." Franceour said taking my hand as I tried to put a smile on my face as well.
"Hey where's Emille?" He asked. Raoul grinned widely "You wouldn't have guessed it my friend but our little man got a promotion!" "Really! Thats wonderful!" Lucille exclaimed. "That's right! Manager of the theatre! Oh they grow up so fast.." He said while wiping a fake tear from his eye.
"That's fantastic.......um sorry but I just have to speak to Franceour for a quick moment" I said pulling Franceour gently to the down stage steps.
"It's about the song isn't it.....I looked at you a couple of times and..." "No...Um it was lovely it was just-"
"Oh there he is!!! THERE HE IS!!! Monsieur Franceour!!!" A girl shrieked pointing in our direction as we walking down the stage steps.
It was a large group of women from the audience who must have stayed behind. They all rushed over and before I knew it we were separated. I just stared perplexity at the swarm. Thinking how outrageous this is. Mostly all of them waving profarmance posters saying " Monsieur!!! Please sign my poster, it would mean the world to me.. "Oh please sign mine too"
"Um.....sorry ladies but I don't have anything to write-" "USE MY LIPSTICK!!!"
He looked overwhelmed but also happy with a hint of his adorable blush and irazistable toothless smile that made his eyes twinkle.
Alright! That's enough! Their not allowed to be that close to him! Practically rubbing against him! "Im sorry ladies but I would like to speak to my lover, thank you ever much!!" They ignored me as I tried pushing through the overly exited chattering girls.
Francoeur saw at last my frustrating struggle and kindly said "I'm sorry ladies but I have to be going now-" "AAAWWWEEEEE" practically all of them sighed with sad disappointment as he politely glided past them to me. I garbed his arm and I hustled us both to a dark corner of the room were I hoped no one would disturb us.
"Is something wrong?" He asked, his eyes on me now. "Yes there is" I say crossing my arms again. "Was it the song? Was it that bad?" He asked as sadness came to his eyes. "No it was actually very riveting but I guess that's the problem" I huff.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
'Was he oblivious to this? He couldn't be!'
"You changed.You were...sexy.." I whispered. "Sexy?" He repeated loudly looking confused. I looked around quickly to see if anyone heard him. "Yes! Do you know how arousing you are! You're practically making all those women suffer from fainting fits!" I scold quietly.
"I don't..." "They all came to see you! All those women!! Do you know how it makes me feel for so many of them to want you?!" My voice quivered. "Yes actually, I do know how it feels" he said now crossing his arms which caught me buy surprise. "Do you see how many men come to your shows! And that look in their eyes they always have! I don't want anyone to ever look at you like that especially....guys like him.." He said motioning to a a slim gentlemen that had his face covered by a cap but didn't hide his overly large pointy nose. That was strange, he was one of the only men in the audience and he was alone "I always see him at your performances! If I find he's following you around I swear I'll-"
"I got ya, you little two faced cretin!!! Yelled Raoul as he jumped from underneath a table and seized the man. "Ouch!! Stop it!! Let me go!!!" He screamed in a voice that was very unlikeable. He started to drag him backstage to the dressing rooms. "Franceour! A little help here!" He said gritting his teeth trying to detain the shrieking man.
Francoeur looked flustered and not sure what was going on maybe just as much as I was but we both rushed over trying to help as we ignored the eyes of the few remaining patrons. We here almost to the dressing room as the man dropped his hat from his flailing. I picked it up and Lucille come hurrying from my side. "Lucille! What's going on do you know this man?" I asked conserned. "Unfortunately yes" she said, the rage clear in her eyes.
We all pilled into the dressing room. Raoul forcefully sat the man in a chair and he cried dramatically. I think I saw him before! It was a time ago on that night I- "be quiet already!! What are you doing here you little rat! Gonna tadile tail to the police again!" Raoul demanded. The guy just shivered in the set.
"Albert...what are you doing here!" Lucille questioned with venom. The man shakily pushed back some of his stringy, flat blond air and tried to sit straiter. With some difficulty steadying his voice he said "I came here to help in a little situation concerning the monster of Paris."
