Chapter 20 - Movie

ZEE'S POV

Soon enough, we smelled something, and he went towards the food and stirred it.

He soon smiled towards me and said it was done.

I quickly severed it plates and we went towards the sofa.

I sat on the sofa, and soon he joined me.

"Let's watch something," I said blankly, staring at the TV screen, which was closed.

"I'm in. What, tho?" He asked, and I started thinking too.

"What about a horror movie?" He suggested.

"Uhh," I said and looked towards the floor.

"What? Are you scared of horror movies, zee???" He said and laughed.

"Noooooo, who said that?" I said, still looking towards the floor.

"Yes, yes, you do You are scared." He said and laughed, mocking me.

"Nooooooooo," I said, whining.

"Let's see then." He said and then took the remote, which was beside me.

"Shall I?" He asked.

"Yeah, do it," I said, confident.

Fake confidence, btw.

"U sure?" He asked again.

"Yes, yes!". I said.

"I don't think so." He said and laughed again.

"Actually, yk what? You are scared, not me!" I said.

"You wish I was concerned about you, anyways." He said and switched on the TV.

Soon, from a black screen, we could see the channel list.

He skipped some channels, and then we found a horror movie on some channels.

It has just started.

"You ready, love?" He asked, and I looked at him, and I nodded.

He then increased the volume and got comfortable on the sofa.

He was occupying half of it.

I crawled up to the left corner.

I had my knees near my chest and the food bowl on my legs above the cushion.

The movie started.

I could already feel myself being creeped out because of the music.

But I don't have to show it.

No matter what happens.

We were now keenly watching the movie.

The storyline was just getting interesting.

I had my full interest in the movie.

I placed the food bowl on the side table.

And moved backwards a bit.

Soon, there was a jump scare, and I screamed and jumped onto him.

My head was now snuggled up near his chest.

And I was holding on hard on his upper arm.

I heard him laugh and wrap his hand around me.

"It's just a jumpscare zee. Come on." He said and rubbed my hand, which was on his arm.

I still stayed there, and soon, he moved closer towards me.

"It's fine. I'm here." He whispered in my ear.
