Y/n was born in China, her father born in y/cn, and meeting her birth mother at China. (reader looks more similar to her father) A few months after her 7th birthday, her birth mother had an illness, causing her to die. Making her father re-marry another woman, y/n's stepmother treats her kindly like y/n was her own, y/n adored her and she adored y/n too. (Y/n calls her mom in the later chapters!)
When she was ten, her parents decided to move to Malaysia, most of her stepmother's side of the family lives there. Y/n's parents also thought this was a good opportunity for y/n to learn about nationalitys and to get closer to her relatives. (Will not affect the story much)
Current year, y/n is a high school student with average/failing grades, she prefers English more than Chinese or Malay. (she is able to speak in Chinese, but cannot read it for the life of her. Able to produce simple sentences in malay, usually uses them in a slang ver or to insult)
Doesn't have many friends, keeps to herself.
