Dani's POV
I gasped and ran over to her. What I saw freaked me out.
Her sleeves were bulging and her hands were pure black. She grabbed my hand and looked strait up at me.
Her eyes, oh my god her eyes. They were yellow.
She squeaked something at me three octaves above what was physically possible. And her ears! They looked like they'd disappeared! And her hair was dyed lavender! I didn't realize she dyed her hair recently.
I was totally freaking out. I grabbed her shoulder and hauled her to her feet, then started dragging her over to the teacher. The dodgeball game had paused as more and more people were seeing what was happening.
Two leaf shaped things had poked their way through her hair. Almost all of her hair had turned light purple, and her face was turning black. The gym teacher noticed us and blew her whistle. One last dodgeball flew across the line. It nailed Jenny in the gut.
Then everything exploded. The lights burst, the windows, which were not thin, shattered. Rings were coming out of both Jenny's mouth and the ear-shaped things coming out of her hair. The noise was indescribable.
I had just enough time to think supersonic before I blacked out.
Where am I? Ow! My ears! Why do they
Wait supersonic
Jenny used supersonic? But that would mean...
I groaned. Cracking open my eyes, I found myself in my bed.
Maybe that was all just a crazy dream.
But wait, why was there sun coming through my window? It was Thursday, right? Or was it Friday yesterday, and I just didn't realize it?
Groaning again, I dragged myself out of bed. That's when I realized it couldn't have been a dream. I was still wearing my clothes from the gym.
I shook myself awake and darted downstairs. My mom was on the phone. She gave a relieved smile when she saw me.
"Oh yes," she said to the person on the line, "she's right here actually. Yes. Yes. I understand. Goodbye." She set down the phone. "Sweetie!"
"What's going on?" I asked, getting right to the point.
"Well," she said, wringing her hands nervously, "How are you feeling?"
"Fine," I said, "now what's going on? What's wrong with Jenny?"
My mom sighed, and patted the seat next to her. I grudgingly sat down. I think better when I'm standing, but whatever.
"Jenny," she cleared her throat, "Jenny contracted... a virus."
Those words confirmed my suspicions.
"Pokemorph."
My mother nodded.
After a moment of silence, I mumbled: "That explains the move."
"What was that?" Mom asked.
"When we were in gym class," I said, "Jenny used supersonic."
Understanding dawned in her mother's eyes. "That's why you passed out," I passed out? "you were in close proximity to... praise Arceaus, you're lucky you can still hear."
"Where is she?" I asked.
I should probably pause here to explain a few things. First of all, the Pokemorph virus is a virus that is not contagious, but has dramatic effects on people's lives. Like I said earlier, Craig swapped genders when he became a Gothita Pokemorph. A lot of people can be a bit... vocal about how they feel about Pokemorphs. Two of those people are Jenny's parents. I am definitely not one of those people.
