Ella decided to go home for Christmas break and was currently sat in a compartment with the twins. She had been hanging around with them more since the last Hogsmeade visit as Ella and Harry still weren't talking and Ella wasn't going to put Ron and Hermione in the middle of their argument. 

"So why aren't you staying now?" Fred asked from beside her.

"Didn't want to put Hermione and Ron in the middle of me and Harry and I wouldn't have you two around as well"

"You going to tell us what you two are actually fighting about yet?" George asks looking at her.

"It's not important we'll figure it out eventually"

"Well you're more than good to hang with us for as long as you want isn't she Fred" George looked at his twin with a slight smirk.

"Yeah we enjoy having you around our favourite little trouble maker" When the train arrived Ella spotted her father. After a quick goodbye to the twins she ran over to him and he opened his arms for her.

"Hey Peanut how's school so far?" He asks as he releases her from the hug.

"It's good dad" She smiles at him as he takes her stuff.

"Come on then lets get home to your mother" Ella nods as her and Luke head through to the car.

Ella headed downstairs the following morning and found her parents sat at the table having a quiet conversation.

"Morning" She said as they looked up.

"Good morning Peanut" Luke said with a forced smile. 

"Is everything okay?" Ella asked looking between her parents.

"Every things fine sweetheart" Elena said standing up to make them all drinks.

"You'd guys would always tell me the truth wouldn't you?" Ella asks looking between them.

"Of course we would" Luke answers.

"Am I adopted" Elena drops the cup she was holding and it smashes on the floor.

"What" She says quickly moving to clean up the mess.

"Am I adopted" 

"Why would you ever ask that" 

"I've heard some thing and you never answered my question mum. So I'll ask one more time am I adopted"

"Yes" Elena finally answered.

"I'm adopted"

"We wanted to tell you, we did" My mother cries as she talks.

"THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU" Ella shouts, allowing her anger to show.

"Do not shout at your mother like that" Luke says, raising his voice slightly.

"She's not my mother" Ella says looking between them before running up to her room and locking the door. Ella refuses to leave her room for the next two days and ignores her parents every time they try to talk to her. When she eventually leaves her room she finds them both sat at the table again. "I want to know the truth. Who is my father? Is it Sirius Black?"

"Yes. Ella I am sorry we never told you" Elena says looking at her.

"Oh my god. How could you keep something like that from me especially when you knew he'd escaped from the worst prison in the wizarding world" 

"We were trying to protect you Peanut" 

"What else are you hiding from me?" Elena stands and picks up a box, handing it to Ella. She took the box before heading back upstairs and locking the door again. She sat on her bed staring at the box. As she opened it she saw a letter on the top addressed to her.
