OOTP 1

Ella laid on her bed whilst Harry sat on her bedroom floor with his back resting against the side of the bed.

"Have you heard anything from the others?" Harry asked looking at Ella.

"Just the usual. You know the how are you? How's your summer so far" Ella mocks whilst staring at the ceiling.

"Even from Fred?"

"I've barely heard from him at all to be honest" Ella shrugs.

"Did you two have an argument or something?"

"Not that I know of. They're all hiding something from us, well I'm assuming you but because of how close we are I'm being included. They know I'd tell you everything whether I was allowed or not. Even my parents are hiding stuff they've received a few letters via owl and they've randomly disappeared without telling me where they were going like they usually do" She shrugged again.

"It's annoying. How can they cut me off when I'm the one who was there when everything happened?" Harry moaned, throwing his head back in frustration.

It was a few days later when Harry had received a letter telling him that he was expelled from Hogwarts for using magic infront of a muggle. Ella had snuck out of her bedroom window and headed to Harry's uncles house. She carefully threw a stone at his window to get his attention.

"Ella?" He questioned as he opened the window to see who it was.

"No it's he who must not be named. Yes it's me you dweeb" She made quick work of climbing up to his bedroom window as he moved out of the way.

"Hello Remus" Elena said opening the door to the order of the phoenix that were collecting both Ella and Harry. "Ella's in her room I'll just grab her" Remus nodded as she went upstairs to get her daughter. Elena opened Ella's bedroom door and found it empty with the window open. Elena quickly hurried downstairs. "She's gone"

"What do you mean she's gone?" Remus asked slightly worried for his goddaughter.

"She's snuck out the window"

"I bet I know where she's gone" Luke said walking over to his wife to calm her down.

"Where?" Remus asked looking at him.

"Harry's"

"Right well we'll send you a message when we find her. Is her stuff packed?"

"Yes I packed it earlier without her knowing and her cats just asleep on her bed" Elena told him before Luke went to grab his daughters things.

Ella and Harry were both sat in his room talking about Harry's hearing when they heard a crash come from the kitchen.

"Did you hear that?" Harry whispered quietly to Ella who nodded. They both sat quietly, listening for any other sounds. After a few seconds of silence they heard voices. They both quietly got off of Harry's bed, making sure to grab their wands that they had placed on Harry's bedside table. Harry stood facing his bedroom door, listening with all his might as Ella stood just behind him. The next moment they both jumped as the lock gave a loud click and the door swung open. They both stood motionless, staring through the open door at the dark upstairs landing, straining for any further sounds, but none came. Harry hesitated for a moment and then moved swiftly and silently out of his room to the head of the stairs with Ella following. There were people standing in the shadowy hall below, silhouetted against the streetlight glowing through the glass door; eight or nine of them, all, as far as they could see, looking up at them.
