CHAPTER 12 || t e l l m e m o r e

POV: Nick

I awoke from my slumber, feeling my jeans rub against my legs. It wasn't a comfortable feeling to wake up to. 

The thoughts from the night before start to flood into my head, which led to me having a slight blush covering my cheeks. 

Unfortunately, it also reminded me of the soreness in legs. I groaned as I sat up in my bed, still trying to wake up. 

I turned on my phone to check the time, but I was greeted with a notification that made my stomach flutter. 

'goodmorning:)'

It was a such a short and simple message from Arlo, but it showed that he cared, which made me all giddy inside. 

My lips start to curve into a smile from the sweet message, although that didn't last long as I heard a voice coming from the other side of the room. 

"What are you smiling at?" Asked Matt, who had obviously just woken up. His hair was sticking out in 4 different directions and his eyes still looked droopy and tired. 

"Oh.. well Arlo said good morning-" 

"Thats kinda stupid. Like, just goodmorning?" Matt responded, cutting me off. 

"I mean, yeah" Now that I think about it, I kind of did sound stupid. 

"Anyways, what did you do yesterday? You were gone for so long." Matt asked while making his way over to his suitcase. After he grabs whatever he needs, he walks over to me, grabbing a chair and sitting down. 

"Okay uhm... he showed me around the ship for a couple of hours before we went and ate. His dads the captain, so he knows a couple of secret spots." I pause for a moment, trying to gather my thoughts from yesterday. I notice Chris in the back of the room getting up from his bed. 

"After that we kinda just hung around the deck. And.. uh.. he kinda said it was a date?" I said to Matt, not really sure how to say the last part. 

"Oh my gosh. For real?!? He said that?! Dude, I told you he was into you!" Matt responded with his mouth gaped open. 

"Wait, what happened?" Chris asked confused, as he obviously just started picking up on the conversation. He had just walked over to where Matt and I were sitting. 

"Nick went on a date yesterday with Arlo!" Matt yelled back at Chris.

"Oh my god!!! For realzies?!?" Chris said, sounding more excited than I am. He then glances over at me to confirm what Matt had just said. His mouth was agape, and his hands made their way up to his face. 

I nod in his direction, confirming what Matt had just said. And if it were possible, it seemed like his smile grew even bigger than before. 

"omg, Omg, OMG!!! Tell me more!" Chris said as he jumped onto my bed and started kicking his feet in the air like a teenage girl. 

I grimace and sulk into myself as I don't want to talk about this first thing in the morning. 

But nonetheless, I start to explain to Matt and Chris every detail about what happened the day before.

I just got back from a hike, so im feeling refreshed😘✌️

Anways, I know this chapter is short but I promised to post tonight so here ya go.
