The next day, after a much-needed rest, they teleported to the Virgin Islands, the northeastern tip of Sambalan Nation.

Sambalan Nation was west of Mai Nation and was known to be a tourist destination. However, the Virgin Islands was an untouched island. No one lived there, no humans, night creatures, and animals. There was nothing to see but white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. But the second Ko and Kana teleported to the gorgeous beach, they saw a signpost:

Come to Nana's Resort, where all kinds of creatures are welcome. We do not discriminate at all. We swear!

Ko and Kana exchanged looks. Bewildered but decided to follow the trail nevertheless. The path led them to a beautiful hotel building.

Ko and Kana entered the lobby, and the scent of lavender, lemon, and coconuts hung in the air. It was jam-packed with different species—humans, demons, ghouls, and even some Gods.

All of them were in a vacation mood—all smiles and having a great time. This was akin to seeing a tiger, cheetah, t-rex, sheep, deer, and goat all hanging out together in harmony.

"Something is fucked up about this place," Ko said.

"Why? Many different species live in my fortress. It can work, you know."

"Yes, but you guys don't eat humans; there is no way these many night creatures are not feeding."

Kana smiled.

"Why are you smiling? Whatever you think I said was nice, I did not mean it."

"So, you believe that I don't eat humans."

"I mean, we've been together for over a month now, and not once did I see you crave human flesh; pretty dumb of me to still think you do."

Kana beamed.

When more and more creatures kept coming into the lobby to check in, Ko's suspicion hit the ceiling.

"This...how....what....this needs to be registered. It can't be that the Slayer Council does not know about this. This is not a known destination; when did it become famous? What are they serving their guests?"

POOOOOOOF!

A woman with wolf ears and a golden retriever tail appeared before them. She gave them lotus, jasmine, and sunflower garlands and hung them around their necks.

"Welcome! Remember, here, we do not discriminate. Please rest your troubles away, Ko of the Resurrection clan and infamous 7219." After greeting them in her perfect sales voice, she skirted away and welcomed other guests.

Ko said, "This is a trap. I don't trust any of this. We should go."

Kana retorted, "Come on, KoKo...

"Don't call me that!"

"Come on, Ko, we've been sleeping in a tent for days. Plus, it's so hot outside; even if it's a trap, it's you and me. What can they possibly do?"

Ko thought about it for a while, and eventually, he agreed. Hence, they lined up to check in. The line was very long. After 40 minutes, Ko was getting impatient and doing his deep meditative breathing.

Kana smiled at him, "Why don't you take a seat? I'll take care of our room."

Ko chuckled, "Nice try."

"What do you mean, nice try?"

"Next, please." They approached the front desk. A female ghost greeted them with an eerie smile. "Welcome to NANA Resorts. How may I help you?"

Kana quickly answered, "We want to stay the night in a 1 bedro–

"2 beds! 1 room, 2 beds," Ko interjected.

"Okay, let me check for availability."

The ghost looked at her monitor and started typing. She kept on typing for what felt like an eternity. Finally, she stopped, looked at Ko and Kana, smiled, and said, "Unfortunately, we can only offer one bed per room. We have a few supply problems. Deeply sorry."

"Then we'll get 2 rooms instead," Ko said, almost pleading.

Kana interjected, "We can't be far apart unless you miss the symptoms."

"Fuck me," Ko uttered. "Fine, we'll take 1 room."

The air around Kana began to shimmer. Ko rolled his eyes.

The clerk asked, "What theme do you prefer for your room."

"What?" Ko asked.

"Oh, sorry, here is the menu." She gave them a piece of paper that read: cage room, bondage room, skinny dipping room...

Ko's eyes' socket bulged. "Wait! What kind of hotel is this?"

The clerk giggled, "It's a love hotel."
