CHAPTER 19: TEMPTATIONS

Kana woke up in an empty bed. He touched the side where Ko lay. He got up and checked the bathroom, kitchen, and balcony—no sign of Ko.

Last night was a dream; this morning, a nightmare.

He quickly put on some clothes and left the room. His thoughts were racing, wondering if Ko regretted last night so much that he dared to suffer the consequences of being apart rather than be in the same room together.

He checked the lobby, the garden, and the gym, but nothing. He was about to check the outdoor pool when he saw Ko heading down a corridor inside the hotel.

Kana called after him, but he was ignored, which hurt him. Ko entered a room called Healing Room. Kana followed suit. It turned out to be a gym. He saw Ko walking straight to a sauna room.

 Kana ran after him, but when he entered the small sauna room, there was no sign of Ko.

Out of nowhere, a bright light flashed across the room. Kana closed his eyes briefly, but when he opened them, there was no more steam, and a handsome young man stood before him.

He looked much like Ko, and Kana mistook the young man for him.

"Hello, cutie." He said.

Kana felt something powerful underneath his feet. He looked down and saw he was standing on an array. He tried to walk away, but an invisible barrier locked him within a small circle.

 The attractive man soon took off his clothes while not breaking eye contact with Kana.

Kana sighed.

"You're an incubus."

"No." the man said. Immediately, about 8 more people emerge from the room's dark corners. Gorgeous men and women lined up before Kana, completely naked. They said simultaneously, "Incubi, darling."

They started shapeshifting into different-looking men and women—each sexier and hotter than the last.

Incubus are shapeshifting sex demons. The Council of Slayers considers them one of the most dangerous night creatures due to their incredible power of seduction. Even the most prudish person on earth would be down on their knees begging for sex if they encountered these demons.

It's not only their shapeshifting ability that's deadly; the chemical on their skin releases a potent aphrodisiac that turns your brains into scrambled eggs, have you plead for sex, or else you'll kill yourself. You'll succumb to the temptation. And once they are screwing you, they'll suck your life force, and then you die.

Sweat dripped at the back of Kana's neck; his clenched hands turned ghostly white.

At the pool area, Ko woke up in a chaise lounge. He sat up and looked completely confused.

What am I doing here?

He looked down and saw he was wearing his pajamas. He checked if he had his phone with him and found relief when he found it in his back pocket. It was 8:35 am.

Then the events of last night rushed to his brain, and he almost exploded from sheer embarrassment.

I can't believe I had sex with Kana! What the hell was I thinking?......but damn, that was something else. Those research papers were not exaggerating.

Then a chill spread across his body. Ko realized something that almost broke his brain.

I...was....the... bottom? How did I not realize that till now?!
