Unknotting Fate

CHAPTER 20: GOD SLAYER PART 1

A widespread dinner was prepared for Ko and Kana. Amu grilled the marinated chicken breast while Sol set up the side dishes on the trolly.

Luckily, when Ko was killing all of the incubi, Kana returned to their room and packed everything. He was not worried even if Ko brought the building down, which he eventually did because he had an impenetrable invisible shield. Even in 1%, it can withstand Ko's telekinesis.

After destroying the hotel, Ko was troubled that Kana's journal had been lost due to his reckless anger. That he destroyed a rich treasure trove of knowledge. A knowledge that Kana worked hard for. Guilt weighed heavy on his heart. He felt light as a feather when he learned the journal was safe.

 One week had passed since the incubus incident. They had teleported to 2 countries before arriving in San Dole Forest in Zalahala Nation.

They set up a camp atop a hill surrounded by lush greenery and roofed by a billion dazzling stars. The sound of the sizzle from the griller soothed Ko's tired mind. And the sweet and tangy smell made his stomach growl. Once the main course was cooked, they ate around the bonfire.

Ko really needed this rest since last week had been stressful. Sol and Amu caught them many times in odd positions. Thankfully, they were fully clothed in those moments, which made the excuse they were fighting convincing.

After blowing up the hotel, Ko swore to Kana that they would never have sex again. That promise was broken 1 hour later. 

 Despite non-stop fucking, Ko has not changed his mind about breaking their fate. He desperately wanted these feelings to go away and return to his everyday life and usual self.

After eating, Sol and Amu said their tearful goodbyes to their master. Sol completely ignored Ko, but Amu was tearfully saying goodbye to him. At this point, Ko was used to all of this. He said goodbye as well so that they could leave immediately.

Once they teleported, Kana pushed Ko inside his tent and mounted him. Their hands and mouths quickly got busy exploring each other's bodies. They urgently strip each other's shirts off. Both their tongues were swirling around each other hot mouths. The heat intensified, but Ko's phone rang, ruining the moment.

It was the ringtone reserved for his predictors. Ko pushed Kana away, frantically went to his tent, and fished out his phone from his old jeans. Kana followed him. Seeing Ko's demented smile, he knew what the call was about.

Ko hung up the phone and said, "Change of plans. Breaking our fates would need to wait; we're leaving for Cornero City. I found myself a rouge god to kill."

BREAKING NEWS:

"Welcome back to The BTC. Breaking news: a rogue god is rampaging Cornero City of Zalahala Nation. Cal Hyung has the latest report, Cal."

"Yes, Azumi, a rogue god, code name 8819, appeared in Cornero City at 7 pm. It happened without warning when the entire city was engulfed inside a gray dome, trapping many citizens. This gray dome looks like a thick smog. Many slayers had gone inside, but we don't know what happened to them. We don't know if there are any survivors inside. Drones and tanks were sent inside about two hours ago, but sadly, we have lost all connection with them."

"So Cal, who is this rouge god or 8819?"

"8819 is a rouge god that had appeared before. It was 30 years ago, in the year 1992, she appeared in Rosenburge City in the North American nation. According to the Slayer Council Archives, 8819's power is to create a dome, and everything inside immediately dies. The slayers inside wore different protection spells to shield them from 8819's powers, but nothing had worked yet. She is extremely powerful that the Royal Family has declared Zalahala under a state of emergency. The neighboring cities have all evacuated. Nobody can enter the city except soldiers and slayers."

"Scary indeed. Thank you, Cal, for the report. Next, celebrity A-lister Zxal Nugyn's sex tape was leaked on the internet.....

The news annoyed Vin, so he threw his phone at his assistant. She acrobatically caught it, scared to drop it, knowing she'd get yelled at again.

"Is the God Armor ready, Felisa?" Vin barked at his assistant while he sat at the back of the van.

"Please give us 15 more minutes," Felisa replied.

Suddenly, a tall, muscular man with a deep scar across his face hopped inside the van. He bowed to Vin.

 "Pula, your news better be good," Vin warned.

Pula gulped and said, "Ko is here; he is at the Monkey Finance Corp roof deck,"

Vin cracked a smile. Felisa and Pula felt instant relief.

"Of course, that fucker is here. But why so far away? That is an hour away from Cornero City. I guess it does not matter since that little shit runs fast."

"Also, 7219 is with him," added Pula.

"They are still together? They've been together for almost a month now. What is going on?"

 Silence.

"WELL!" Vin shouted.

"We're very sorry, sir, but we don't know why. Me and the boys can't get too close... because, you know, it's 7219."

Vin looked at him in disgust.

"It has to be important since Ko is willing to jeopardize his slayer license to hang out with that freak. He'll be imprisoned if the slayer council finds out he is in cahoots with a night creature."

"Sir! Why don't we film them as evidence? Then Ko will be thrown in jail." asked Felisa.

 "Of course, I've thought of that, idiot! But my instinct tells me to wait. There is something more to unravel here. Something that will completely end Ko."

Then Vin's phone rang. Felisa panicked to answer it and gave it to him quickly.

Usually, Vin would not entertain any calls while working, but he saw that it was his mother calling. He answered.

"Hello, Mother."

"The time has finally arrived. Don't screw this up."

"I won't."

"Good boy."

Vin hung up. There was nothing else to discuss.

 "Sir, the God Armor is ready." the driver said.

Vin's lips stretched ear to ear. "It's show time."
