It had been two days since my adventure with Gaby. Yesterday I was keeping my eye on Mrs. Darkblood. She was working on the job she was supposed to be doing. Mr. Kelly didn't think that there wasn't anything wrong with her. I remembered that she didn't put any potion bottle on her desk. Then it was Friday. I got up around the same time that I would normally get up at. When I was coming downstairs for breakfast, I could feel somebody pushing me from behind. I fell down the stairs. I looked at who was pushing me. Leander was walking down the staircase. "Hey!" I tried to get myself to stand again. Leander kicked me once. "Help!" I cried. "What's going on?" Linus called from the top of the stairs. Leander pulled his foot away from me. When he did, he went over to the dining room. "What's going on?" A voice demanded from the dining room. "Are you alright?" Linus asked.
Once I was standing, I looked at Linus. "Leander pushed me down the stairs!" I hollered. Leander screamed back. I could hear some thumping footsteps coming from the dining room. Leander was approaching me at a fast pace. "Leander stop!" I insisted. My big brother ignored me. He reached for the top part of my pajamas. I had the feeling that he was going to choke me. "Help!" I shouted. Mom stepped towards the stairs. "Hey!" She yelled. Leander got startled by the loud noise. I slipped away from him. "What were you doing to him Leander?" Mom interrogated. "Mom, I think he tripped Leo. He got him to fall down the stairs." Linus assured her. I doubt that was going to be helpful in the slightest. I sat down at where I usually sit at. "Linus. Get to the table." Mom ordered. Linus did what he was told. While we were sitting at the dining room table, we said nothing. I think that the house in danger without Dad. A short while later, Leander came to the dining room. Mom was watching him from behind. "Set the table." She told him. Leander gently set the cutlery and the full plates on the table. It turns out that breakfast for today was two sausages and two pancakes each. I think that the sausages might be made from fish meat. Mom demanded what happened from me. I told her the whole story. Linus also told her his side of the story. Leander only looked at me with an angry face. "This is a great reason why I don't like hanging out with him. He only destroys my stuff and bullies me." I asserted. Leander said nothing in return. "But Leo. You think that Leander can become better with time?" Linus queried. "That's right Linus. We can only hope that Leander can become wiser, and kinder to us in the future." Mom responded. I was doubting this. If this whole island sunk, I would try to survive without my family.
I try to eat my breakfast like I would normally do. Though I was distracted by the thought of my brothers. Linus would probably want me to focus more on him rather than let me play with my own stuff. Leander is just a big bully. "Mom, I prefer to come home on my own, rather than hang out with Linus and Leander. Is that alright?" I spoke up. My brothers couldn't believe what they have heard. "Leo! It's not fair! If we leave as a family! We return as a family!" Linus whined. "It doesn't matter! You are distracting me so that Leander could destroy my stuff. You're just as bad as he is." I conveyed. Linus didn't like to hear those words. I turned back to look at Mom. "Besides, Leander is old enough to bring Linus back home. I'm sure that he could take Linus back home by himself." I contended. "Why? You have a family that loves you. You need to give a little love back. Just stay with them on the way back home." Mom adduced. "Told you so." Linus piped up. "No way! You know what these bullies did to me. I don't want to be hanging out around them. I can take my chances on another part of the island somewhere. I don't ever want to be near them on the way back home. They would pick on me. I hate them. If they ever did love me, Leander would never have gotten me to trip on the stairs today." I pointed out. "Leo, I'm sorry that Leander had to trip you on the stairs. And I am sorry for all of the times that he went into your room and smashed up your stuff. But we need you to help and play with us." Linus rendered. "What?! Are you telling me that you had something to do with me tripping down the stairs. Did you tell Leander to push me?" I grilled. Linus felt nervous. He didn't know what else to say. "Alright, I have heard enough. Leo you need to pay your brothers some respect. And the same goes to you two. Leander? Linus?" Mom asked. I don't know if they were focused on eating their breakfast while ignoring Mom, or if they were just frightened of her just now. "Mom, can I please come home on my own?" I questioned again with a calm tone. Mom was stressed out and enraged at once. I can see that she wasn't in the mood for anymore arguing. "You may. Just for today." Mom spoke while she was still angry. Leander and Linus continued eating while they heard those words. I had myself cleaned up in the bathroom. I got my lunch ready. I waited for my family next to the front door. Leander and Linus were staring at me with annoyed expressions.
