Billy eased into the arms holding him even though he wasn't sure if he trusted those arms yet.
The only thing keeping Billy from moving was the fact Henry got rid of Neil, Billy's biggest demon next to himself.
He also was his father if his memories were to be trusted.
"You can trust them, my boy. I am your father and I know you have a lot of questions and I don't mind answering them but we need to get you out before your mind is trapped" Henry said as he slowly pulled away from Billy leaving a loneliness Billy had never felt before.
"Can you read my thoughts?" Billy asked trying to concentrate on something he could emotionally distance himself from.
Henry just nodded and stood up, his right hand extended to help Billy get up.
Taking Henry's hand he allowed the man to help him to his feet.
Everything about the man felt familiar and safe and that scared Billy more than anything. It reminded him of Steve. Why the hell was he thinking of Harrington in the same sentence as a familiar feeling?
"So how does one get out of here" Billy asked trying to push those thoughts of being in a happy place as far back as they would go but again Henry wouldn't let him.
"'Follow me," Henry said and Billy did but turned to look where Neil had been and there were two of those creatures fighting over what could only be Neil's spleen. His brain told him it should bother him but it didn't. It gave him a weird sense of peace.
As they walked forward the landscape changed and they were in a nursery.
In a small bed was a young boy sleeping and Henry watching him sleep.
"We are in a landscape run by a demonic creature known as a Lich, the undead leader of the undead, and he goes by the name of Vecna.
He sent Neil to bring you to him here so he could use the power you possess to escape to the world on the other side.
This was one of last times it was just you and me Willy. You were terrified of the dark so I always slept right next to you. On this night though I wanted to imprint you on my memory so I always had a place to hide from Brenner and his brood, Vecna.
Listen to me, I will find you on the other side but you have to wake up Billy or you will die.
Also since I don't know when I will find you I need you to find a memory that you can always hide in.
I promise to train you in your powers and tell you more but not right now" Henry said wiping tears off his cheek as he embraced Billy again and whispered in his ear he said "Go safely my son Now wake up".
Eddie was sitting next to Billy in the hospital when Steve came into the room, his eyes red and puffy.
"How is he?" Steve asked as he choked back tears.
"The same as two days ago. Still comatose. They can't figure it out" Eddie said, trying to keep his composer. "How's Max holding up?" Eddie asked, trying to keep his mind busy.
"She is taking in strides. She's staying with the Byers today. She needed a break from everything" Steve said as he collapsed into the chair next to Eddy.
Eddie nodded and yawned.
"When was the last time you went home and took care of yourself?" Steve asked.
Eddie laughed and said, "This is nothing. But to answer your question I haven't left this chair since I found him".
Steve just glared at him in shock.
