Blue eyes glowed to the left while Brown eyes glowed to the right.

Behind each pair of eyes were deep guttural growls.

The eyes didn't belong to anything that was still human or monster but to hate, anger and pain.

Neither side moved.

Both sides waiting for the other to make the first move.

Then there were the two figures caged in the center.

The sun-tanned blonde hair and blue-eyed wildfire and the brown-eyed brown-haired snowstorm.

The wildfire running wild driven by pain and anger meanwhile the snowstorm internalizes the pain of loneliness and anger.

People couldn't help but stare at the wildfire and its beauty and strength but would never get close because they were afraid of getting burned. The threat of being hurt kept anyone from trying to put out the wildfire and soothe his pain.

On the other hand, everyone likes the beauty of a nice snowfall. People gravitate towards the snowstorm because of the look of softness but then don't know what to do when they find out the snow can be cold and emotionless from not having anyone actually care for him but only be around when it suits them.

They were sitting back to back and each could feel the other's inner pain.

"What is this?" Steve said as he tried to move away from the heat but couldn't move a muscle.

"Is that you Harrington?" Billy asked, trying not to show how cold he was.

"Billy? I thought you were still in the hospital" Steve asked, trying to move again with no luck.

Billy finally allowed his body to shiver as he said "I was and then everything went dark and I wound up here".

"How are you cold? It's so hot I feel like I'm on fire. I also was in your room when things went dark and here I am." Steve said as he felt like the flames were crawling all over him.

As the ice tickled Billy's fingers and toes and the fire danced up and down Steves arms and legs a shadowy figure neither could see because they approached in the middle between the two and said "in order to escape you must heal".

Both men tried to turn and look at who was talking but neither of them could.

"Hey whoever the fuck you are stop with the fucking riddles and let us go" Billy said and the blue-eyed monster took a step forward with a low growl and Billy did see that.

"Your anger will take you over forever if you can't let it go," said the voice again.

"Can't you just tell us your name" Steve asked, trying to be the calm on. Something moved in front of him and he saw a brown eyed creature step forward and growled.

"Hiding your pain and anger will lead to it overwhelming you as well," the voice said again.

Both men sat in silence until Billy spoke up and said "this is fucked up" and the creature in front of took another step making Billys insides as cold as his finger tips..

"Release the anger and pain and you will be released," the voice said again

Again silence.

"My parents were always coming and going because they were more interested in lavish vacations and their business than their own son.

When I met the kids I found a meaning to life. Dustin needed a male role model, Lucas needed encouragement to follow his dreams, Mike needed to learn humility and that he had to accept others sometimes know more than him, Will who has a pretty damn good brother in Jonathan needed someone who knew what he went through but wasn't emotionally as close as Jonathan, El needed someone to ask questions that the others her age couldn't answer due to their age and Max needed a brother figure because she's was acting like a jackass and she didn't know how to help him.

I thought I was pretty badass when I took on that demogorgan but I didn't know how badass I could be until I had to defend the kids against you.

But I do regret parts of that night though Billy. I should've remembered that you didn't know what was going on and all you saw was me with your little sister and a bunch of young boys in a house and not letting you near them.

Worst of all, I lied. I fueled a fire that was already burning and for that I am truly sorry" Steve said tears running down his face.

The beast in front of him slinked backward into the darkness.

Billy sat in a momentary silence.

"My mom left when I was ten to find a life that was better for herself while making me believe I was a part of that life.

My father was an abusive asshole my whole life but when my mom took off he got worse. It became an everyday occurrence for any small thing he didn't like.

I learned to ignore the parts of me that made me happy like surfing and taking care of my looks so it would please my dad and he wouldn't get so angry,

I became focused on bodybuilding and by the time Max and her mom came into the picture, I was so desensitized I couldn't let them in even though Max tried.

Susan on the other hand cared about my dads money and so she ignored my dad's abuse.

Then we moved away from anything that somewhat made me happy and from there shit just piled up.

I fucked it up with the only family who cared about me and now the whole fucking town is afraid of me and I know I deserve it.

I don't deserve anyone's sympathy.

For whatever it means to you I'm very sorry for everything especially that night Harrington".

Billy said letting the tears run down his cheeks and the with that the blue-eyed creature backed itself into the darkness as well.

"You have freed yourselves. You have found the beginning of a bond that will save the world instead of destroying it.

Go now and find each other in the real world.

Back in the hospital

"Eddie, Wayne Billy is crying in his sleep" Max said as she watched the years roll down his face.

His eyes slowly opened and Max being the first thing he saw was a true relief.

"Where's Harrington?" Billy asked out of the blue.

Eddie and Max looked at each other very confused.

Wayne just sighed.

Back at the Byers

"Steves crying" Dustin said panicking as he stared at Steve.

Nancy and Robin came over just as Steves Brown's eyes started to open.

Steve was glad the three people that meant a lot to him were there when he woke up.

"Where's Billly?" Steve asked causing a confusion among his friends.

"Its officially started" Hopper said quietly to Joyce who nodded and both too another long swig of beer.
