Scars of the Parents

"You useless assholes were supposed to keep Billy safe and in the hospital and you couldn't do that and then it took my son to catch and calm him down. My son that has no fucking idea what's going on" Joyce growled at the agents who were paler than a ghost.

"I promise you ma'am we did everything we could. When billy woke up we were unable to control him and didn't have the right equipment to take care of him" one of the men said, his voice shaking with each word.

Joyce looked like she was about to commit a crime. Not only that but there was a faint light illuminating from her skin which cause both Hopper and Wayne to panic but before they could even move Sue and Charles Sinclair were next to Joyce.

"Come on Joyce calm down you don't want to destroy your house do you" she said rubbing her back while speaking in a soft motherly voice.

The light illuminating Joyce's skin started to dim and her breathing started to return to normal.

Charles looked over at the agent and said "I would leave before she sees you".

It didn't take much discussion and without hesitation the agents were out of the door and leaving the property.

Once the room settled down and Charles had scared the agents enough for them to run out the door, Ted decided it was time to explain how most of the town is involved with this.

"Shall I tell the story of how we know so much?" Ted asked Karen and Henry.

Karen looked at him and said "we have to but shouldn't we wait for Billy and Steve to wake up so we don't have to explain it all again".

"You're right, it's just we need to tell them something because we have a bunch of scared young people who don't understand why their parents are so calm," Ted said, looking around the room at all the scared and confused faces.

Karen followed Ted's gaze and knew that he was right but the thought of having to repeat it again didn't sound like a good choice either.

"Where the fuck am I" Billy groaned as he gingerly sat up.

Jonathan ran over and sat next to him taking his hand in his and said "something happened and now we are at my parents home".

Billy laced his fingers through Jonathan's and laid his head on his shoulder as he got dizzy.

Jonathan held his hand tightly and wrapped his other arm around Billy.

"My head is spinning," Steve said, trying to sit up.

Ted groaned and said "that shit has no effect on them does it".

Henry laughed and shook his head no.

Ted stood up and handed his beer to Wayne and went to the middle of the room and with a motion of his arm lightning cracked right there making everyone jump.

"Now listen here I have something to say and you all are going to listen" Ted said as lightning danced in his eyes.

"A little theatrical" Henry whispered to Karen who stifled a laugh.

"Hawkins has been on the shit list for some time now. When we were in high school a meteorite broke apart right over Hawkins and the pieces got in the water, food and on the people. Well, we got powers. I can control the elements, Joyce is a ticking time bomb, Hopper has inhuman strength, Wayne Munson over there can distort time and space to his own needs, Karen, Henry, Steve and Billy all share the powers of the upside down each with their own strengths, Claudia Henderson is a telepath with the ability of levitation, Sue Sinclair can heal any wound physical or mental and has the power of invisibility while Charles has super speed and intelligence. All you kids have your own powers but they haven't manifested themselves yet except for of course Jane that's telekinetic.

Of course it also opened up the entrance to the upside down which brought Owens and his men who helped keep things calm in and out of Hawkins.

This isn't the first time Hawkins has faced a threat from the upside down.

We faced a horde of demogorgons and demobats along with their master at that time. But the worst monster would come after, Doctor Martin Brenner.

You've heard the story from here but just know that we will do everything we can to keep you out of danger" Ted said going back to where he left his beer and sat down.

"Like hell you're keeping us on the sidelines. We deserve to know what we can do to protect ourselves as well as how cool we are going to be when the whole school sees what we can do. The nerd patrol might even become popular, " Erica saidloudly and her sentiments were echoed by the others.

"Plus the way Steve is looking at Jonathan like he's his next meal is just making this more fun" Erica said with a laugh.

Looking over Ted noticed that Billy had laid his head down on Jonathan's lap and Jonathan was again stroking the older boy's hair softly making direct eye contact with Steve, a smile of victory spread across his face.

He then looked at Steve who did look like a wild bear about to have a midnight snack. Thankfully though Robin was there doing her best to calm the bear.

Pinching the bridge of his nose, Ted took a sip of his beer and said to no one "I hate my life. Not only do we have a psycho monster after all of us but we have goddamn teens in the midst of their sex drive".

He was almost thankful for Owens and his team making their way inside and saying loudly "now that your all here let's learn what you youngsters have for powers".

"Now that's what I'm talking about. Let's get blowing shit up" Erica said jumping up and heading over to Owens and his men..

Almost, Ted told himself, almost thankful.
