INT. MOUNTAIN CAVE – NIGHT
Jonas brewed a magical potion and spoke a spell, then called, "Mistress."
"Is it done?" the troll asked.
"Yes, Mistress, the potion is prepared."
"Then Camelot and all its riches will soon be mine."
The troll drank the potion. Jonas took the bottle from her human hand. They rode through the woods and stopped on a hill.]
"Camelot," Jonas said.
The troll pulled back her hood to reveal a beautiful noblewoman.
EXT. LOWER TOWN – DAY
Gaius, Colette and Merlin walked through the Lower Town, Merlin and Colette laden with pots.
"Keep up, Merlin, Colette," Gaius told them. "We've got a busy day ahead."
"It's a busy day every day," Merlin argued. "You, Anne and Arthur, you work me and Lettie to the bone."
"Do stop moaning. At least the work's interesting."
Colette frowned. "Gaius, we're collecting pots. We do the same thing each and every Thursday at exactly the same time and nothing interesting ever happens."
Jonas grabbed Merlin's arm. "Please, we seek Uther Pendragon. Where can he be found?"
"I..." Merlin began.
Jonas pressed a royal seal into Merlin's hand. "We have urgent business with the King."
"I'm sorry, any business you have with the King will have to be pursued through the usual channels," Gaius said as he looked at the seal. "But this is the seal of the House of Tregor. Where did you get this?"
"It does not belong to me." He turned to the troll, who pulled back her hood.
"It belongs to me," the troll, Lady Catrina, said.
Gaius and Colette bowed. "My Lady."
Merlin stared, transfixed by Catrina. Gaius and Colette continued to bow and whispered, "Merlin!"
Merlin bowed.
INT. KING'S PALACE – COUNCIL CHAMBER – DAY
"Lady Catrina, is it really you?" Uther asked.
"I can hardly believe it myself," troll Catrina replied.
"We had tidings from the north that the House of Tregor had fallen to invaders."
"All that you heard was true, My Lord, and worse."
"Your father, the King?"
"Gone, Sire. The enemy attacked without warning. We were outnumbered five to one. He could not endure. I would never have survived had it not been for my faithful servant Jonas. But we did survive, and we have made it this far..." troll Catrina swooned and Uther caught her. "Forgive me, My Lord. I fear my trials have taken a toll."
"Your sufferings are beyond imagining, My Lady. It would be an honour to help you in any way we can."
"A bed for the night would be most welcome."
"And consider yourselves our esteemed guests. It's the least we can do."
"Thank you."
INT. KING'S PALACE – UPPER CORRIDOR – DAY
Gaius, Colette and Merlin were walking down a corridor and Gaius seemed lost in thought.
"She's very brave," Merlin and Colette said.
