I woke up freezing cold and sweating at the same time. As soon as I remember my dream my head hurt. I felt numb. I wanted to break down and not feel anything at the same time. My phone read 10:48.

I remember Adron, and got up to get dressed. I took a breath then went to where Adron was. I expected the Datura to be worn off by now but I wasn't sure. Adron was looking around like a mad man. His eyes looked like he hadn't slept since WW2.

When saw me he jumped in surprise. He didn't know whether to be relieved or scared when he noticed it was me. "Sup, bud," I said, hiding every emotion I felt. "How was your trip?" I asked in a taunting manner, grinning slightly.

"You insane bitch," he spat. I shrugged, "Thank you." "The things I've seen," he paused to think, "they are unspeakable."

"Meh, that's kinda the point," I replied. His expression turned from scared to mad. I'm guessing it's probably because to him I wasn't taking this seriously.

Without saying anything I walked to my tool box and found sewing scissors in the third drawer. Why do I have sewing scissors, you may ask? I have no idea. All I care about is there sharp as fuck. I turned back to Adron and he looked confused. My mind raced with ideas that we're not the most family friendly. I walked to him and cut his shirt with the scissors.

"What the fuck, man!?!" Adron asked in a concerned voice. Again, I didn't answer.

I brought the tip of of the scissors to his skin, but stopped. I wasn't hesitating. I realized something. The pain I wanted to cause him would kill him. I didn't want to kill him, that'd end the pain. I already knew what to do.

"Wait here," I said. He was about to say something but I stabbed the scissors into his leg. He yelled out in shock and pain. I walked out to my room. I grabbed the extra pack of cigarettes I kept for myself in the back of my nightstand drawer. Sitting down on my bed, I light one and put it in my mouth. I felt like a heavy weight was lifted off my chest. I almost forgot what I was doing and after a minute I said to the air, "Alastor, I want to make a deal."

Almost instantly the demon replied in my head, 'Well that's new. What's up, kid?'
I puffed out another cloud of smoke before answering. I should've opened a window but I honestly don't care. "It might seem crazy, but any way you can make it so Adron never dies."

'Ehh could you elaborate on that more?'

I let out another drag and watched the white smoke dance up to my ceiling. The smoke making patterns like art. "Like the Greek story Prometheus. No matter how much pain was brought or what happened to him he just was just reformed every day."

Alastor took a second to think. 'Well, it would cost you.'

"What's that?"

'Your soul.' I laughed, thinking he was joking. When he didn't laugh I relized he was serious.

"What?" I replied, confused.

'Your soul,'he said again. 'You will never die either. Every night you'll come down here and do a favor for me. In return, I'll make it so you can do whatever you need to Adron.'

I let out a long smoke, thinking. I thought of everything I could do, but I'd have to live with the guilt with Saskias death forever.

I thought for a second longer then said, "Fine, deal."
