Once we had excited Zora's Domain via the forest passageway, Saria, Navi, Ember, and I quickly headed to Hyrule Castle to meet up with Zelda to give her the three spiritual stones. But when we got in sight of the town, something very strange happened. The sky grew dark, Zelda and Impa were riding away on a horse, and Zelda threw a strange-looking ocarina into the stream nearby before teaching Saria and I The Song of Time. And it was after reaching the Temple of Time that things got even stranger.
After leaving we headed to the castle, but when we got there the drawbridge was up.
"Were we too late for tonight?" Saria asked me, looking around for the stalkids that would be appearing if so.
Before I could answer, the drawbridge lowered and we had to dodge out of the way of a passing horse.
Looking back I gasped. "That's Zelda and Impa."
We then saw Zelda throw something that landed in the moat, but before we could check what it was, we heard a sound behind us, revealing the man with the evil eyes, Ganondorf on a horse of his own.
"Arrrrgh I lost her!" he growled before looking at me, "I remember you. You were the guest of the princess and her father for two weeks. You must have seen which way she went. Tell me."
I refused and looked at Saria, who nodded as both of us charged up our magic.
"So you two think you can protect them from me... you've got guts kids!" he laughed, "you want a piece of me? Very funny. I like your attitude."
Both of us shot our magic at him, only for it to be stopped by a magical shield before he charged his magic and blasted us both back, severely injured.
"Pathetic little fools!" he said to us, "do you know who you are dealing with? I am Ganondorf! And soon I will rule the world! Still if she left you behind then you must not be important."
With that he left, while we struggled to get up, before using the last of Saria's potions to heal ourself.
"Now that you are healed you should check what the Princess threw in the moat," Navi said as me, Saria and Ember rolled our eyes at her sassiness before I jumped in the moat, and retrieved the Ocarina of Time, before I heard Zelda's voice.
"Linkette... can you hear me? It's me, Zelda..." Zelda's voice rang through my head. "Linkette, when you hold this Ocarina in your hands... I won't be around anymore. I wanted to wait for you after all, when you stayed with us, father did a search and found that your mother was my mother's sister, and that she had to leave you with the Kokiri she grew up with before leaving the forest and being blood adopted by my grandmother, as she was dying for your safety in the recent war. That makes you my cousin, and I wanted to get to know you more... but I couldn't delay any longer.... at least I can leave you the ocarina, and this melody."
With that I was taught the Song of Time, while being shocked that Zelda was my cousin.
"Now Linkette, play this melody in front of the altar in the Temple of Time." Zelda's message said. "You must protect the Triforce!"
With that the message ended, and I found that Saria had brought her back onto land.
"Are you back with us?" Saria asked worriedly, only for her, Ember, and Navi to be shocked when I explained the message, before Saria recovered. "I'm glad you found family. Hopefully they will treat you better than Mido."
"That's not hard," I said causing us to giggle.
"Hurry up!" Navi said. "You may be the princesses cousin, but you are still so lazy, you have a mission. To the Temple of Time."
"And she is so bossy," I said to Saria and Ember as we followed giggling behind her to the temple of time where we found an altar with three hollows and an inscription:
'Ye who owns three spiritual stones
Stand with the Ocarina of Time
And play the Song of Time.'
"I guess you should play the song," Saria said after reading the inscription.
"Right!" I agreed playing the song.
This caused the Spiritual stones to float into the air, and to the hollows, while the Triforce symbol on the wall glowed, before the door underneath it opened up. We made our way through only to stop at what we saw.
"Isn't that...?!" Navi said, floating over to the sword in a pedestal. "It's that legendary blade... The Master Sword!"
"But how are we supposed to protect the Triforce with no Triforce here?" Saria asked.
"Maybe we are supposed to use this sword to do so," I said, grabbing the sword and trying to pull, but even with the Goron Bracelet, I had trouble pulling it out. "Help me out Saria."
"Right," Saria said, getting next to me and grabbing on as well.
Working together we pulled the sword out, as waves of energy surrounded the pedestal, and a voice rang through our heads...
"Oh brave youths, you are too young to wield the Master Sword." It said, "but the enemy is too close to put you in an enchanted sleep until you are old enough. So I will send you somewhere else to grow into the sword."
With that we vanished, just as we started hearing footsteps.
