So after saying goodby to my friends and to the only home that I had ever known, I gathered my courage and took the last few steps out into the big and terrifying land that I did not yet know anything about. But... now is as good a time as any to start to learn I guess. So... I went head on into my new surroundings.

The next morning Navi and I had to leave so we could find the princess of destiny. Even though we left early I was not very happy at the thought of leaving the only home I had ever known. I entered the bridge that would lead out of the forest but I was stopped by a familiar voice calling out to me. "So you're leaving already, Linkette?" Saria asked me with teary eyes. "I knew that you would leave the forest someday, Linkette, but that's ok, because we'll always be best friends forever, won't we? And remember, this is your home Linkette. Oh, and one more thing before you leave, hold on..." then Saria yelled as loud as she could "HAY, FADDO! COME OVER HERE!" a few seconds later, Fado came running over to join the two of us.

"Oh Linkette... I'm so so so so sorry for what I did! I should've stood up for you, and..." she trailed off as I pulled the now crying girl into a comforting hug.

"I'm sorry too, Linkette," Fado's fairy, Medly, spoke up as she landed on my other shoulder.

"Dawn and Willow are sorry too, I'll go get the two girls!" Saria said, yelling once more. A brown-haired girl came to the bridge followed closely by a red-haired girl and two fairy's. Dawn's fairy was named Alace and Willow's fairy was named Ebony.

"We're sorry too," they both apologized at the the same time. I smiled kindly and Saria spoke up to break the awkward silence that followed. up next.

"You three finally just now figured it out? Did your fairy's know?" at Saria's question, they all smiled sheepishly and stared down at their feet. I smiled softly in response, knowing exactly what Saria had been referring to.

"Hey, you know Linkette, Dusk is sorry too, but he's too nervous to approach you because he has a huge crush on you!" at Willow's little observation about Dusk's shy and timid behavior when around me, we all started laughing and whispering excidedly to one another.

"I'll call for his fairy," Dawn offered with a cheeky grin playing on her face. "Because if Midna comes, then that means Dusk will have to follow her!" we all grinned mischievously at her idea and Dawn quickly called for Dusk's fairy partner. As Dusk came running after his giggling fairy partner, he stopped in his tracks and his face went bright red when he caught sight of me standing beside Saria.

I tried my best to keep from laughing at the look of purr embarrassment written on Dusk's face, but I failed miserably when the others started laughing uncontrollably.

After we had all finally calmed down from our laughing fit, I smiled Impishly and spoke up, "what's wrong Dusk? Are you too shy to tell me that you're sorry?" I used a bit of sass and snark in my tone with made all of us go into another fit of giggles.

"Hey, Link, stop stalling! Come on! We need to get going!" Navi chimed from her place on my shoulder.

I pouted childishly at my fairy and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Oh come on, Navi! Do you have to ruin the party?" I grumbled under my breath while turning away from my fairy with an hmph sound.

"What? You're leaving the forest?" Willow exclaimed with a sad look on her face.

"But we just started having fun!" Dawn said with a pout and an icy glare detected at Navi.

I looked down at my feet and gave them one final look, "I promise I'll come and visit," and with those final words, I turned and ran out of the forest.
