016 || Ball. Pt 3.

Ava Potter's pov:

I was dancing around with Cho, Mione, Luna and Pansy. We had been dancing for about 2 songs now and it was so much fun. I could tell Mione was getting tired as well so I grabbed her hand and pulled her to a table. 

"You aren't as bad as I thought you would be." Hermione smiled.

"I could agree with you on that Mione." She laughs and shakes her head. We continue chatting until a boy I have never seen before comes up to me. 

"Hello pretty lady." I look at Mione and start to feel uncomfortable. 

"I- Um Hi?" 

"Already made you stutter for me, huh?" He smirked thinking he got to me. He is just making me feel highly uncomfortable right now that is all. "Let's dance"

"No thank you I am fine" 

"I insist"

"She said no" Hermione said. 

"Is he bothering you love" Mattheo's hand slid around my waist. 

"Who are you?" He asked pointing to him.

"Mattheo Riddle, You?" 

"Hunter Lockwood." I covered my mouth to contain my laughter. Mattheo chuckled but his grip on me tightened. "Is there a problem with that?" I heard Hermione laugh.

"Hi, I am Ava Potter, I am in an arranged marriage with your brother, Lucas Lockwood." His eyes widened and he just walked away like nothing happened. I broke into a fit of laughter. Hermione laughing with me and Mattheo joining.

"Why are you all laughing so hard" Pansy came up with Luna and Cho.

"Be-Because" I had to take a deep breath to stop the stuttering. "Because Lucas's brother, Hunter just tried to get me to dance with him and when I told him I was in an arranged marriage with his brother he walked away acting like nothing happened" 

I broke out into a fit of giggles again. They started laughing too. Then my song came on and a smile spread across my face again. I grabbed Mattheo's hand and ran to the dance floor. We started dancing and soon the song came to a stop and a slow dance came on.

I wrapped my arms around his neck while his rested on my hips. I so badly wanted to kiss him but I couldn't there were so many people. People are used to us dancing together whenever we would throw balls, anyone of the royals, we would dance together. 

He was the one person who went out of their way to make sure I was safe. And an event like this he wanted to make sure I didn't get hurt or anything and his way of doing that was staying by me. There were some people who didn't care but once they actually had to talk to him they were out the door.

I smiled and rested my head on his chest. He put his chin on my head as we swayed to the music. I caught the stare of my parents. They were looking at me with pure hatred. Feeling is mutual dear parents. 

Harry has even started to hate our parents with what he is finding out they have been doing to me. I never thought I would think of Harry as my brother but I am coming around. It is taking some time but I am slowly coming around. 

The slow dance stopped and I pulled away from Mattheo who was smiling like an Idiot. I smiled back and grabbed his hand walking off the dance floor. We sat down at the table and soon enough Pansy, Draco, Hermione, Harry and Blaise all sat down. 

"Oh! Harry would you wanna join us for a movie night?"

"Sure"

"Hermione?" I looked towards her. 

"I would love too!"

"Well if you guys are gonna start hanging around us you need to understand we have a movie night every night after a ball" I said. Harry and Hermione laughed.

"We understand A" Harry laughed. My eyes lit up when I caught eyes with Cissy and Tom. I almost flung myself out of Mattheo's arms and ran up to them (The best I could run with heels on)

"Cissy! Tom!" I hugged cissy and then Tom.

"Hey sweetie how are you?" Tom asked while I sat down. 

"Better, I am still in the marriage but I think I found a way out" 

"That's amazing. How's your night going, you look wonderful darling" Cissy asked

"Thank you and it is going really well, surprisingly" We all laughed until My friend group was on the dance floor again calling me over. "Well I will see you guys tonight, love you"

"Love you too sweetie" Tom smiled

"Love you to" Cissy smiled as well. I gave them a smile before running to my friends and started dancing again.

The night was coming to an end and I was holding my heels as they were hurting my feet. I was waiting for Hermione and Harry outside the castle. I was waiting with Mattheo, Draco and Pansy. "Darling let me take those" He grabbed my shoes out of my hands before I could protest.

I smiled at him and snuggled into his side. "Draco why can't we be that cute!?" Pansy complained. 

"You think that's cute"

"Yes! He was being a gentleman" I always laughed as I watched these 2 fights. Mattheo wrapped his arm around my waist. Tom and cissy headed back so we could walk home without parents watching them. 

I smiled as the doors of the castle opened. I moved away from Mattheo. My parents were at the doorway and Harry was holding a small bag. "Harry I want you home tonight not hanging out with your sister" I chuckled and rolled my eyes

"Shes my sister, mother" 

"That's the problem" 

"Wow" I muttered. 

"What was that daughter" I rolled my eyes.

"Let's go Harry." He smiled and nodded walking towards me. 

"You are not stealing my child" My father said. I rolled my eyes and everyone let out a chuckle.

"1st he is choosing to come with us and 2nd I am not putting my friends through our pathetic fights. Goodbye." I waved and fake smiled before I ran down the stairs, everyone following me. I heard them yell and then the castle doors shut. "Finally"

I muttered walked to Mattheo and snuggled into his side once more. He smiled and planted a small kiss on my lips. Harry and Hermione already knew that we were a thing. When we didn't tell them they just straight up said, 'You know we already know about you guys you can be cuddlie but just no making out, still my sister' 

We walked to Mattheo's castle and headed into the movie room, after we changed. I laid my head on Mattheo's chest while his hand rubbed my back softly. "I love you Theo" 

"I love you too A, more than anything or anyone" I felt heat rise to my cheeks and I turned my head and kissed him before resting my head back on his chest and shutting my eyes. 

"I love you more than anything or anyone" The next thing I felt was a blanket over my body I opened my eyes and saw Mattheo covering us both up with a blanket I smiled and shut my eyes before falling into a peaceful sleep.
