Ava Potter's pov:

"Dad!" 

"What" He said with irritation in his voice. I walked into the kitchen. He was leaning against the counter talking with mother. 

"This marriage-"

"You are not getting out of it"

"No, I came to tell you I want this wedding but Pansy will be my maid of honor. That's final."

"She's a Slytherin"

"And my best friend" I tilted my head to the side "If you don't let her be my maid of honor I will fight this wedding right now you are lucky I am agreeing willingly" He sighed in defeat.

"Fine" I smirked. He had no idea what was coming for him. 

"Great! I will get a dress ready for you" My mother said. Of course I didn't even get to choose my wedding dress. I nodded and walked out. I got back to the dorm and flopped on my bed. Just in time Pansy came into my room.

"Hey girl"

"So, I connived my parents about letting you be the maid of honor" 

"What about Mattheo"

"OH! I forgot to tell you all. Didn't I?"

"Yeaaa" She said squinting her eyes in confusion. 

"Get them" She nodded and walked back out of the dorm. I sighed and pulled out a book. Soon enough the door opened again and Mattheo, Draco and Pansy all entered the room. "Alright so, I talked with Lucas and he doesn't want this wedding as much as I do so we are going to call it off while I am up there"

"What do you mean" Pansy asked tilting her head to the side.

"Like when the priest asks the 'I do' question I will simply object" I shrugged as if this is the most casual conversion to have in the world.  

"So, you are still getting married" Mattheo asked.

"Technically no" I shook my head. "But we will be there with everyone watching but when the priest asks if we actually want to marry each other we will simply say 'no' and see what happens from there" He scoffed "What?"

"Are you kidding me!"

"Mattheo what do you want me to do" Pansy and Draco slowly get up and walk out of the dorm shutting the door. "Do you think I want this because I thought I made it pretty clear I didn't"

"You are still doing everything leading up to the marriage"

"I love you Mattheo! Not someone I haven't even known for a day!"

"Seems like it" He ran a hand through his hair. Did I not make it clear enough that I never wanted this. My parents wanted this, not me. 

"Wow...." I shook my head, scoffing "I never wanted this Mattheo. Get that through your thick skull" 

"Me? Thick headed? Wow, that is a lot coming from you."

"Either you walk out that do" I point to the dorm door. "And break us up. Or you stick by my side. Which one are you doing" I felt tears prick my eyes. We just got together. Please don't do this to me-

"Goodbye Ava" My bottom lip trembled as those words escaped his mouth. 

"Goodbye" My voice broke. I heard the door open and then close, I fell to my knees and sobbed. How could he walk away so easily like nothing ever happened between us. Did he really not care that much because he walked away so easily. Didn't try and fight for us. Just left. 

Why am I trying to fight for us if he won't?

The door opened to reveal a worried Pansy and sad looking Draco. They both rushed over to me and held me as I sobbed into Pansy. "He-he just l-left" I sobbed. 

"sh sh sh sh my love, everything will work out" She rocked me back and fourth as I clinged myself to her. I slowly felt my eyes get heavier. I curled up closer to Pansy and left the tears falling as I closed my eyes. 

Soon enough, the blackness surrounded me and everything stopped. 

Pansy Parkinson's pov:

I felt her breathing get lighter and her slight snores. I picked her up and placed her on the bed. I  kissed her forehead and pulled the blankets over her. "I will fucking kill Mattheo" I said turning around to my boyfriend.

"I will join you" I smile and walk out of the dorm to his. I knock on the door aggressively. 

"What" He opened the door and saw us and his face fell. He had puffy and bloodshot eyes. "What do you want"

"How the hell could you just walk out on her like that"

"She is getting married"

"Has she not made it clear that she doesn't want this" Draco asked. 

"I thought you would have my back" Mattheo questioned.

"You messed with someone I think of as family. I will kill you before I say that I have your back" 

"You hurt her Mattheo. You just walked away."

"I had no other choice!"

"Don't you dare fucking say that! You just walked out! You could've stayed! She is fighting for you 2 for fucks sakes! That is the whole reason she got kicked out of her house, FIGHTING for you guys. Not walking out because it was too hard" I screamed. I saw a tear fall out of his eye. 

"She is marrying someone else!"

"NOT BY CHOICE" Draco put a hand on my waist and rubbed his thumb up and down. He linked hands with his open hand and rubbed my knuckles, calming me down. "She doesn't want to get married. Don't you think it is hard for her to know she will be walking down that isle for the first time and not see you"

"You messed up, mate" Draco said.

"Don't you see how you are the only one who can calm her down in seconds. It took me 35 minutes for me to calm her down when the last time you did it took you 3 minutes She loves you more then herself Mattheo"

"I fucked up" He rubbed his fingers to his forehead.

"No shit"

"How do I get her back?"

"I don't know" I shrugged "You fucked up pretty bad."

"Help me!"

"You should have thought about that before walking out" He sighed and nodded.

"Yup." 

"She loves you mate, It may take someone time but she will forgive you" 

"UGH! Why did I do that" I leaned back whispered in Draco's ear

"He's so bipolar sometimes" He chuckled and nodded. I looked back to Mattheo. "Look, I know you are scared for a relationship because you have never had a real one but don't push Ava away because you are scared."

"How did you know" He chuckled.

"I see the way you look at her. Whenever she does something you look at her like she just gave you the world. You are blind if you can't see it."

"Guess I am blind then" Draco said. And Mattheo chuckled.

"No sweetie, you are just a guy" He shook his resting his chin on my shoulder with his arms around my waist. "You love her. Just don't keep breaking her."

"I am so scared Pans"

"I know you are. Don't let fear take over love. Because in the end fear will win." I saw a few more tears roll down his face. "We will help you this one time. But if you hurt her again Mattheo I am not gonna be here to help you."

"I know. Thank you guys." I nodded

"Now make something up. And fast before it is too late" I say as Draco backs away and I walk out. I walk into our dorm and slip into bed with Ava. She wraps her arms around my torso and I play with her hair. 

My best friend is everything but a disappointment.
