Carly awoke with a start to find herself in a dark room. It took her a couple of minutes to recognise her surroundings as the room Thor had shown her to after they had eaten. Shifting to sit up she almost fell down again. Right," she thought. I'm still in my human form. Once she managed to sit up comfortably she reached her hands up to rub at her face, finding dampness. Not again. Sighing she recalled the dream she had had. It was the same dream she had been having for months now, when she could sleep. It was always the same. She would find herself walking through a beautifully tended garden looking as though searching for someone, laughing with the person who she could not see as if they were playing. The joy that filled her was pure and light but then the scene would change as would her feelings. Joy turned to fear and panic and she was being pulled away from someone but the smoke and flames obscured them. Screams surrounded her as people ran. She tried to move towards the person but just as she got out of the grip on her there was pain. Always when the pain came she would wake up to find tears running down her face but yet as much as she tried she couldn't figure out if her dreams were memories or just due to what she had lived through.

Rolling over onto her right side she pulled the soft blanket up to her shoulders and closed her eyes. Knowing everyone would have questions for her she decided it would be best to make sure she was properly rested. She had just started to drift off when she heard a noise. Waiting a moment she heard it again. It sounded like someone shouting and screaming. Slipping out of bed she made her way quietly to her door poking her head out. The shouting was clearer now and she realised that it was coming from Loki's room, like he was in pain and afraid.

Taking a deep breath she went to step into the corridor when the sound of another door opening made her snap her head around. Thor was exiting his room wearing only a pair of sweatpants, looking as though he had just woken up.

"Lady Fox!" his voice was rough with sleep and concern. "I..." he started but was interrupted by a loud pained groans and shout coming from Loki's room. "I must see to my brother."

"Of course." she said watching him enter Loki's room. Feeling her heart clench as she heard the Trickster moan she reluctantly moved back into her room. Looks like none of us will be having a peaceful nights sleep tonight. she thought as she slipped under her covers.

It had taken her some time to fall back asleep which resulted in a late wake up. Looking over at the clock she shook her head. 11.28 am. I can't believe they let me sleep so late. Stretching out she took a few minutes to indulge in the luxury of the large bed. Finally she dragged herself up and into the adjoining bathroom. She had almost forgotten what it was like to have free access to such simple everyday things. After taking a longer than necessary shower she went to the walk in wardrobe which was, surprisingly filled with clothes of varying sizes and styles. Thankfully whoever had organised the room had kept them organised by sizes. Finding clothes in her size she selected a pair of blue jeans and a brown t-shirt, opting for the boots from yesterday. Thankfully there was new underwear in the drawers which would fit too. Once dressed she pulled her hair back into a ponytail before heading to where she remembered the kitchen was.

Meeting no one on her journey to the kitchen put her slightly on edge. The emptiness of the corridors felt strange and she was tempted to transform into her fox form but knew it was a reflex to stay safe. These people had told her she was safe here and so she stayed in her human form. Arriving at the kitchen she felt hesitant to raid the cupboards so grabbed an apple from the bowl on the counter.

Munching on the fruit as she walked she decided to see if she could find anyone, knowing she would have to talk to them at some point. Passing the training rooms she expected to find someone there but there was no-one. Continuing on her walk she finally heard voices floating through the corridor. They were coming from a few doors ahead of her.
