Percy's P.O.V.
I look at Iris and she knew which memory to show next so she brought it up.
Once upon a time, in a small town filled with colorful houses and surrounded by lush green forests, lived a curious and adventurous five-year-old boy named Percy Jackson. It was Easter Sunday, and Percy could hardly contain his excitement. He woke up with a wide grin on his face, knowing that today would be a day filled with surprises and joy.
Percy's parents had planned a special Easter egg hunt just for him. They had hidden brightly colored eggs all around their backyard, waiting for Percy to find them. As Percy stepped outside, the sweet scent of blooming flowers embraced him, and his eyes sparkled with anticipation. As Percy began searching for eggs, he noticed a large, suspiciously egg-shaped mound of dirt under a nearby bush. Thinking he'd found the motherload, he eagerly dug into the mound, only to discover a large, very angry mole!
The first clue his parents gave him led Percy to a big oak tree. He searched high and low, peeking behind branches and under leaves, until he spotted a small blue egg nestled in the tree's hollow trunk. With a squeal of delight, Percy carefully picked it up and continued his hunt.
The next clue took Percy to the old wooden swing hanging from a sturdy branch. He swung back and forth, scanning the area for any signs of hidden eggs. It didn't take long for him to spot a vibrant pink egg dangling from the swing's ropes. He eagerly reached up and claimed his second treasure.
With each clue he solved, Percy grew more determined to find all the eggs. His parents had hidden them in the most imaginative places, and Percy felt like a real explorer on a grand adventure. He discovered eggs hidden under flower pots, behind the garden gnome, and even inside the birdhouse.
As he collected more and more eggs, Percy's basket grew heavier. The sun shone brightly above, casting warm rays on his face, and he couldn't help but feel grateful for this beautiful Easter day. He knew that his parents had worked hard to make this day special for him, and he couldn't wait to show them how much he appreciated it.
Finally, after what felt like hours of searching, Percy found the last hidden egg. It was a golden one, shimmering in the sunlight. He gently picked it up, holding it close to his heart, and ran back to the house to reunite with his parents.
As Percy entered the kitchen, his parents were waiting with smiles as wide as his. They congratulated him on his successful egg hunt and praised him for his determination and keen eye. Percy's heart swelled with pride, knowing that he had made his parents proud.
Together, they sat at the kitchen table, cracking open the eggs one by one. Each egg contained a small surprise – a sweet treat or a tiny toy. Percy's laughter filled the room as he discovered the treasures hidden inside. Percy's parents exchanged glances, both delighted by the joy their son was experiencing. They watched as Percy eagerly reached for the next egg, eager to discover the surprises that lay in wait. Percy and his parents shared a moment of connection and happiness, and in that moment, it seemed like all of the troubles of the world melted away. They were content to simply sit and enjoy the moment, watching Percy's delight in discovering the little surprises inside each egg.
Easter Sunday was a day Percy would remember forever. It was a day filled with love, joy, and the spirit of adventure. As he drifted off to sleep that night, clutching his newfound treasures, Percy couldn't wait to embark on more exciting adventures in the days to come.
I laid my head on dad's chest with a smile of my face, even though I felt exhausted and wanted to sleep. Plus sitting in dad's arms felt good.
