MIKE BOUNCED HIS leg nervously, checking his watch every five minutes. El laid her head onto his shoulder, despite the constant moving of his body because of his nerves. Penelope had tried to tell him it would be fine, but he didn't seem to accept her words.

He stood up abruptly, rushing towards the doors of the gym. Penelope got up right after him to follow. He went out the doors in which they all came in from. She felt the cold hair wrap around her skin and make her nose go numb almost immediately.

"Nancy? Jonathan?" He yelled. There were no cars in the parking lot. Penelope figured the two would leave, but didn't expect them to leave without a word to at least let them know they were gone.

She silently cursed under her breath. She put a hand on Mike's shoulder, leading him back inside towards the group inside the gym. He didn't speak a word, only sighed angerly and went back inside. The sound of the door opening and closing echoed throughout the gym.

    "They're gone."

"What?" Lucas looked up at him.

"Nancy and Jonathan. The car's gone." Mike explained. Penelope ran a hand over her face, standing behind Mike.

"They're probably out sucking face somewhere." Dustin said, leaning his elbows onto his knees.

    "Gross."

    "No, No way!"

"No, they wouldn't do that. I think I heard them talking about how they planned to lure the Demogorgon in somewhere. To kill it." Penelope simply said, crossing her arms while she tried to think of what to do.

"Did they go with the Chief?" Dustin asked.

"I don't think so. He would barely let Joyce go with him, let alone some random teenagers. Fuck."

Penelope ran her fingers through her hair, looking to the ground. There was a large, monstrous creature that had already been the cause of two disappearances- one of which had turned into a death. As well as a large government affiliation that seemed to be hellbent on kidnapping their favorite child experiment back to fight fucking Russians.

This was great. Really, just great.

She was fine being the babysitter, but in these circumstances, it was a little unfair for her.

"Guys! Guys, this is crazy!" Mike's voice yelled. The boys had been bickering for the last ten minutes now. "We can't just wait around!"

"Mike, in case you forgot, we're still fugitives. The bad men are still looking for us." Lucas argued.

"Yeah, we don't even know where your sister is." Dustin helped explain.

"El can find them." Mike gestured towards El, wrapped up in a towel and curled up into a ball.
