As we put boxes in the living room, it was time to grab the boxes for my room. Most boxes were heavy so Rowley and Greg grabbed the lightest ones they could find and walked inside the house and went upstairs.

"Jeez how much shit do you have?" "A lot thank you for asking." I said with a smile. Rodrick grabbed a box, almost dropping it from realizing how heavy it was but still held it up. I grabbed a box doing the same thing as him. He followed me inside with the boys who were in the upstairs hallway confused on where the boxes were supposed to go.

"Um where's your room?" Greg asked. "Attic" I said while opening the door that led to an extra set of stairs. They followed me up to the attic and set the boxes down while Rodrick practically dropped his box making a loud bang. "Hey! Can't you read? Those are expensive books, be careful!" I scolded him. "What loser has this many books?" "Me, and im not surprised that you think people who read are losers" I said while crossing my arms.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He said while getting in my face. "Hey look Rodrick, there's your room" Rowley interrupted and pointed out the window that perfectly lined up with the one to Rodricks room. "Perfect, I'll remember to keep my blinds curtains closed" I Said sarcastically and rolled my eyes.

We went back downstairs and finished unloading all the boxes so I told my mom and she thanked the boys for helping and so did I.
Rodrick made a mean face at me and walked back inside his house with Greg and Rowley
While me and my mom walked inside, saying goodbye to Susan.

Rodricks pov:

I walked up to my room kind of sweaty from being outside in the heat. Weird ass fucking neighbors I swear I don't know why my mom had me and Greg help them. The lady's daughter is a bitch too. What did she mean by "I'm not surprised" man fuck her and her stupid books. Anyway I as I walked to my bed I could clearly see y/n in her room unpacking.
What in the fuck does she need so many books for? Nerd.

I scoffed then laid back on my bed and pulled out a cigarette from my drawer then lit it. My mom would kill me if she found out I smoke cigs. She is definitely the type to pass out or go into cardiac arrest. I blew out the smoke and went on my phone for a bit. I heard footsteps and got scared so I threw my cigarette on the floor and stomped on it, grinding it into the wood on the floor then sprayed some of the cologne my mom got me for Christmas.

My mom came up and opened my door, seeing me sitting on my bed straight up doing nothing. "Din- what are you doing?" "Um nothing". My mom gave me a confused look.
"Nothing?" "Im just thinking" I said while raising my eyebrows a bit. "about who? Our  new neighbors?" "Gross mom, no I'm just thinking okay?" She furrowed her eyebrows
"Well dinners ready, come eat." "Okay I'll be down in a sec".

She left the room and closed my door. I lifted up my foot and grabbed whatever bits were left behind from the cig and put it in my trash can then dusted off my hands and went downstairs.
I went to the table and rubbed my hand over Greg's face making him push me away. I sat down and looked at my food. My mom had made some ribs with rice and peas.

At that time my dad usually got home so he was sitting at the table too reading a newspaper he picked up from outside on our porch.
My mom buckled manny in his high chair and laid a rib on his plate for him to nibble on then she sat down next to my dad.

"How do you guys feel about our new neighbors? Personally I think their really nice!"
My mom said in an excited tone.
"We have new neighbors?" My dad asked
"Yes they moved in next door, it's a lady and her daughter who's the same age as Rodrick"
"Y/n's really nice" Greg added "no she's not Greg, she said I looked like I just woke up and talked about my band shirt" "only because you locked me and Rowley in the moving van"

My mom immediately looked at me with an angry face. "Snitch!" I said to Greg. "Rodrick, why would you do that? Greg who let you guys out?" "Y/n, Rowley was really scared cuz it was pitch black in there so y/n hugged him and then said something about Rodrick because Rowley said he thought Rodrick was trying to kill us". My mom looked at me again. "Rodrick, if I hear another thing about you messing with your brother, your grounded." She told me. I rolled my eyes and continued eating.

After I finished dinner, I gave greg a dirty look as I got up and put my plate in the sink then went back in my room. It was around 6:30 so I had some time to practice my drumming. I set up and started.

Y/n's pov:

My mom had helped me put my bed together and helped me with my dresser but other than that my room was completely empty. I laid back on my bed and went on my phone. I started to hear loud drumming and got up and went to my window. Of fucking course it was Rodrick. I opened my window and tried calling his name sense his window was open but his dumb ass couldn't hear me.

I was about to just give up but I looked around my room and found nothing but then I went in my mini backpack and grabbed a coin from my wallet. I didn't wanna have to throw a lot and waste my money so I tried lining my arm up perfectly with him then threw it in his window. Surprisingly it hit drums making him stop and make a confused look.

I called his name again making him look up at me and walk towards the window. "What the hell do you want nerd" "oh shut up with your shit talking, I was gonna ask if you could play your drums just a little quietly, some people are trying to relax" I said leaning on my window. He was about 6 feet away from me so I didn't have raise my voice for him to hear me

"Hmm let me think about...mmm nope, I'm gonna play my drums as loud as I want." "Are you fucking kidding me?" "Nope". He shut his window and I watched him walk back to his drums. He started to play louder to annoy me so I shut my window out of frustration and laid on my bed, covering my ears with my pillows. after him playing for about 2 hours he eventually stopped and I ended up falling asleep around 8:45
