Rodrick took us home. I guess Rowley was kind of right about thinking Rodrick would kill somebody because his driving was fucking insane. The dude was running over curbs and driving on sidewalks like a lunatic. He even almost hit some kids and an old woman walking with her cane. Poor lady.

Anyway we arrived back at the heffleys and I had to help Rodrick carry the dresser inside.
"Don't drop it!" Rodrick yelled. "I know! I'm not the one who broke the first one!" I yelled back at him. "shut up!" "whatever!". We started to sound like him and Greg.

We went back up to the room where Greg was, waiting for us on the floor, stressing like a motherfucker. "You guys took forever! Where were you!" "Calm down Greggy, we're here that's all that matters" Rodrick assured him.
We set the dresser down where the old one was then Rodrick grabbed his clothes and threw them in, making a complete mess.

"Dude what are you doing?" I asked weirded out. "Putting my clothes away?" "Your actually the most laziest person on the planet". He gave a dirty look. "Our moms been telling him the same thing but, Rodrick refuses to be clean"
Greg added in "hey I'm clean, I showered 3 days ago." My eyes widened at Rodricks words
"I'm gonna be sick, there's no way"

I covered my mouth making Greg laugh a bit. "I'm clean smell, smell, smell." He tried forcing Greg in his armpit. "Gross, Rodrick. Move!" Greg said pushing him away making Rodrick roll his eyes. "Why shower everyday when I could be doing something more productive like practicing the drums or idk sleeping" he tried to argue.

"Yea and with that, my work here is done" I said making a disgusted face at Rodrick and grabbed my bag off the ground. "Bye y/n! Thanks for helping us." I smiled at Greg.
"Yea thanks i guess. Your still a nerd tho" "I will ignore the last part". I waved at greg then went back downstairs where I seen Susan, Manny and who I'm guessing was her husband come through the door.

"Oh hi y/n. What brings you here?". Susan asked happily. "Umm. Rodrick had asked me about getting a new dresser so we went to the thrift store and got a new one. It looks really nice." "Oh Okayy, that's nice. Where's Greg?" "He's upstairs with Rodrick" I replied.

"Thank you. Honey this is y/n, the neighbors daughter." She said to her husband and we shook hands. "Hi mr Heffley, very nice to meet you." "Right back at ya". He said making me surprised he wasn't as formal as Susan

"Is your mom home y/n? I was hoping to ask her if she could come over." Mrs heffley asked me. "Unfortunately, she isn't. She's at work and won't be home until 11 or so." "Oh that's too bad. You should stay for dinner! Don't need you going hungry" she offered but I didn't want to feel like a bother so I declined.

"That's alright, I'm fine." "I insist, it's really no bother". I didn't want her to think I was eager to leave her home so I finally agreed and she was all happy. "Okay, we'll while you wait, you can hang out with Rodrick! Like I said he needs some new friends". I laughed a bit and nodded.
"Do you need help with dinner?" I asked her wanting to be polite.

"Oh no honey, it's okay." "I insist" I replied. She laughed and put her hand on her heart, realizing I had copied her words. "Well alright"
She brought me to the kitchen and explained that we were making home made Mac n cheese with a side of chicken. It sounded delicious so we quickly got to work.

It was around 11:30am when we got started and Susan explained why we started so early. It was because when making home made Mac n cheese she slow cooks so everything is perfected melted together and not rushed.

We started cutting cheese. I cut the mozzarella while she cut the cheddar and we bonded over our favorite cheese being mozzarella. She said that it's better to cut blocks of cheese into finer bits than to buy shredded cheese from the store because shredded cheese contains bad stuff in it that makes it stick together.

She didn't really explain what bad stuff it contained so I kinda didn't understand but still made a mental note about it.

She started the water and took out some pasta.
Mrs heffley Said It's better to let the water come to a boil then pour the pasta in so they don't become mushy from being in the water for too long. She was quite the educator I'd say.

She told me how when making Mac n cheese she likes to use the shell pasta because it's like a little bucket that holds the flavor within.
We cut up bacon and laughed about how Mr Heffley said bacon comes from pig ass which was so random then finally put it in the oven at 1:45 and let it cook slowly so everything gets a chance to melt to together as one.

After we sat at the kitchen table and pointed out pictures on the walls of the boys when they were young, especially Rodrick. I don't really understand why he acts a certain way towards his family because they seem really nice but then again I don't exactly know what happens behind closed doors so I really can't say.

The Mac n cheese had to cook for 3 hours on low so before it was done, Susan quickly made some chicken breast and cut it up for everyone.
Then the clock read 4:50 and everything was done.

When I tell you it smelt like heaven in that kitchen I mean it. Susan called down the boys and they jogged downstairs but were confused when they saw me at the kitchen table.
"What the hell are you doing here still?" Rodrick asked. "Rodrick! Language." "Sorry mom. What are you doing here still?" Before I could answer, Susan answered for me.

"She's staying for dinner sense her mom won't be home for a couple more hours and your going to be a good house guest and hang out with her." Rodrick looked at me weird and I gave him a cocky smile. "Fine whatever"
Rodrick and Greg sat down while Susan put manny in his high chair.

Rodricks pov:

My mom called me and Greg down for dinner and it smelt pretty good so I hurried down to see what she had made. Surprisingly I saw y/n still here and was confused. "What the hell are you doing here still?" I asked but my mom reminded me about my language so I repeated myself but in a better way. "What are you doing here still?"

"She's staying for dinner sense her mom won't be home for a couple more hours and your going to be a good house guess and hang out with her." My mom said making me a little annoyed. Why did I have to hang out with her? She's a practically a grown woman. She doesn't need me to entertain her but it was my mom so I agreed. Y/n gave me a cocky smile knowing my mom had her side on this one so I couldn't do a thing about the situation.

I sat down and my mom served me Mac n cheese with cut up chicken, yum. I don't know why but my mom and y/n instantly started talking like they were best friends but they just met literally yesterday. Y/n's way too comfortable and it's annoying

My mom had said that the food they made came out so good. Huh? THEY?! y/n made dinner with my mom? Who the fuck is this chick and where did she come from? Planet fucking goodie two shoes or some shit?
Weird ass chick. I looked at y/n and at my mom completely weirded out. Greg and my dad were talking so I was by myself, bitch stole my mom.

Whatever she won't last long and I know it. Girls only act this way to impress people then start to slip up and show their true colors so it won't be long until she slips up.
