I ended up finishing my food the same time as y/n but she got up before me and went to the sink then washed her dish. I placed my plate in the sink while y/n washed hers but my mom stopped me. "Rodrick." "What?" I asked confused. "Your plate" "it's in the sink, look" I pointed at the sink. "No, I mean wash your plate" my mom said shaking her head.

"It's okay mrs.Heffley, I already washed it." Bro she's making me look so bad. "Thank you y/n, next time Rodrick, your washing your own plate." I sighed. "Okay mom". I tried walking up the stairs but she stopped me again by clearing her throat really loudly. "What?" I Said walking back down again confused. "Forgetting something?." Then y/n chimed in. "It's okay mrs. Heffley really. I can just stay down here or go back home." I then realized what my mom meant. "See she's fine, she can fend for herself k bye".

"Rodrick." I stayed still. "I want you guys to be friends so y/n please go with Rodrick and Rodrick please be nice." I looked at y/n and sighed. "Fine, hurry up". Y/n followed me to my room and thanked my mom for dinner.

It's my room. I don't understand why I have to have her in it and the worst part was that Greg followed us too. He's all over her cuz she defended Rowley and let them out of the van. Anyway when we got up there I laid on my bed and told them not to touch anything so they sat on the floor and Greg told her about some girl he saw at the Roller rink. Like he could ever get with her.

Y/n's pov:

Susan's Making me and Rodrick become friends which I don't mind but Rodrick isn't really fond of it. I admit He isn't someone you would want to be friends with but his mom is nice so I'll do as she says. I'm not a bad person either so I don't know what his problem is.
I guess it's the fact I'm in his room but it's not like I'm gonna go through his shit or anything and besides I don't even talk to him, I talk to Greg.

Speaking of Greg, right now we're in Rodricks room and he's telling me about a girl he met at the roller rink. Her name is Holly Hills. Her name Kind of sounds like a popular school girl bitch but Greg assured me she was actually really nice especially to losers. I feel bad he thinks he kind of a loser but I blame that on Rodrick for lowering his confidence.

"She's so pretty! And she smells like strawberries and vanilla." Greg said while he sat down with me on Rodricks floor. "I think I'm gonna make a move." I wish he said that in private to me somehow because Rodrick put his nose in the conversation. "Ha! Like you could ever get with a girl. Keep dreaming greggy"

"How many girls have you been with Rodrick?"
I said defending Greg. "Nun of your business"
"That's what I thought" I said proudly.
"Rodricks never had a girlfriend or at least that I know of. That's one of the reasons why mom wants you guys to be friends." I looked at Greg weird and Rodrick popped his head up and looked at him too. "No! Not like that I mean because Rodrick doesn't have female friends at all". Me and Rodricks faces soften and he went back to reading a magazine.

"You had me scared for a second Greg." I put a hand on my chest and let out a hard breath.
"Me too, no one wants to date a nerd." Rodrick said. "Yea well no one wants to date a stank ass drummer so thanks for being on the same page." Rodrick scoffed and it went on like that the whole time I was there. Me or Rodrick would say something and we would go back and forth with shit talking but most of the time I won the conversation so we would get mad and say "shut up".

My mom called me asking where I was because she had gotten home and I explained I was at the heffley's and that I would be there in a sec.
We hung up and I grabbed my things, said bye to Greg and Rodrick but Rodrick just rolled his eyes and turned around. I went downstairs and said bye to Mrs and Mr Heffley then left and walked back to my house.

It was really fresh outside so I enjoyed the 10 steps I had to take to get to my house. I opened my front door and my mom was in the living room on the couch watching tv. "Hey mom". I set down my bag and keys on the kitchen counter. "Hey honey how was the heffleys?"
"Good, I helped Susan make dinner and It was delicious. Then me and Rodrick hung out but I don't think he likes me very much." I explained to her.

"Why do you think that?" "Well, he keeps getting annoyed when I'm around and rolling his eyes at me even though I thought we had a good time. We went to the thrift store because he wanted a new dresser and I helped him but I guess he's just weird like that". My mom laughed a bit. "It's only the second day of being here so I'm sure he'll warm up to you." "Probably not but we'll see. Anyway goodnight mom I'm gonna head to bed".

My mom shook her head smiling and said she was going to bed too so she followed me upstairs but we parted ways as I went to my room and she went to hers.

I laid my back down and changed my clothes so I could sleep comfortably then laid down on my bed and soon enough fell asleep.
