Chapter 6

HARRY'S POV

She smiles wide and all I could think is how beautiful she is. Her smile, her hair, her laugh, her whole body, everything about her is beautiful and I've never seen someone like that.

I even remember when she was 8 and I was 10 and my friends all told me it was weird that I hung out with an 8 year old girl but I didn't care. I knew she was my best friend and always would be. Did I think she would be more than that. Of course not. All I was thinking was how girls had cuties and I should stay away from all except her. But when I was 14 and she was 13 I knew she was something more than that.

I never told anyone thinking that everyone would say I was just imagining things or something but I knew that I liked her. By the time I left I knew I was in love with her. I couldn't tell her though thinking... Well knowing she didn't like me back. Then here I am planning out a date for us where I can finally ask her out.

I had the perfect plan. Well I hope it's perfect enough. She's perfect. You can think I'm insane all you want but I can't get her out of my head and haven't been able to since I was 14.

I had the roses in my hand and I'm casually in swim trunks and a t shirt. I remembered that she loved the water so I wanted to take her to the beach. I was freaking out on the inside just praying she wouldn't notice and knocked on the door 3 times.

Within seconds she opened it in this adorable crop top with shorts. She looked gorgeous, cute, and hot all at the same time.

"Hey!" She said cheerfully smiling that amazing smile I've known all my life. I couldn't help but smile too.

"Hey. um these are for you" I said nervously handing her the flowers.

She smiled wide and grabbed my hand leading me in to put it in a vase

"So where are we going?" She asked focused on the flowers looking so perfect.

"That's a surprise" I smiled at her "You'll love it though. I promise"

"You always loved surprises" she rolled her eyes with a small smile playing on her lips

"And it always annoyed you. Which only encouraged me to do it more" I joked and laughed.

She chuckled and finished grabbing her phone

"Okay. I'm ready"

I nodded and grabbed her hand leading her out to my car. I opened her door and helped her in as she rolled her eyes at me for as she said "treating her like a handicap"

I got in and drove both of us laughing pretty much the whole way there. It was just like old times and I loved it.

We got there and I immediately got out opening her door helping her out again and grabbing her hand leading her out

I looked at her and chuckled lightly at her wide eyes and even wider smile.

"I remembered everything you told me" I chuckled nervously.

She had only really told me once when I was 10 that she loved the water but especially the beach. We never really got to go however, and you could always see how much she wanted to.

"You're literally insane" she whispers in a daze and I couldn't help but laugh and grabbed her hand taking her to frozen yogurt.

I ordered her favorite from when she was younger and just hoped it still was. I assumed I guess correctly when I saw her smile wide looking at me in the corner of my eye.

I got our orders and gave her hers leading her out to the boardwalk.

We talked and caught up walking up and down the boardwalk for at least and hour before I finally decided I needed to just do it.

"So then she ran in..." I stopped her mid sentence by kissing her hard. She was surprised I could tell but immediately responded and kissed back.

I turned her to me and put my hands on her hips pushing her gently against the railing as she wrapped her arms tightly around my neck playing with the ends of my hair.

I carefully picked her up and set her on the edge putting my hands on her thighs pulling away slowly.

"You know that's a lot nicer than your signature 'shut up' Harry" she whispers against my lips giving me goosebumps.

"I needed to do that. It's been too long" I whispered to her

"It's hasn't even been 2 weeks" she whispered putting her hands on my chest breathing heavy from kiss

"You're perfect. So perfect. I know I just came back from all the hell we've been through over the 4 years and trust me. It was awful. But getting to come back here and kissing you made it all worth it. Everything about you is beautiful and gives me this feeling I've never had before where I just get happy from your happiness. I didn't know I could feel like that about someone. I always hear those sappy romantic movies say it that you got me hooked on and I always thought it was just lies but it's not. Not when you have the right person. You're just so amazing and I don't care that I just got back. I need you to be mine. So will you be my girlfriend Kaitlyn" I said almost out of breath and biting my lip from nervousness.

I looked at her in the eyes and she just covered her mouth nodding quickly and hugged me tight.

I've never smiled so wide in my life before and pulled back to kiss her again.

I could call her mine. All mine. I've been waiting since 14 for that and yeah. it was worth it.

But now she's in my arms and I plan on her staying there.
