Chapter 8

Kaitlyn Pov

3 weeks in. 3 whole weeks. And it was amazing. He asked me to hang out today but sadly I had school. At least cam would be there though.

Cam was my best friend since I got to college besides Tes. We do everything together in that school.

I was sitting in literature when I felt someone flick my head

"Ow what the heck" I whispered looking at cam.

"What's on your mind  babe" he chuckled. Yeah it may sound weird but he's always called me babe. It started as a joke and it just kind stuck even though we've never been romantically involved at all. In fact he's had a girlfriend for years.

"Just thinking" I smiled

"What about?" He asked leaning back in his seat.

"Harry" I smiled at his name.

"Ahhh. Being that girlfriend who thinks about his every move?" He jokes and I roll my eyes and shove his shoulder

"Ha ha. You're hilarious. No. I'm just thinking about him and how it feels weird having him as a boyfriend. A good weird." I smiled

"Awww you're adorable" he chuckles and turned back to the front with me doing the same thinking of Harry the rest of class.

Afterwards cam walked me to my car and we hugged by then I was on my way home and I got a call from Harry

"Hola" I answered smiling

"Hey love. How was school " he asked and I could tell he was smiling too

"School" I chuckled and drove

"Well want to come over and cuddle so I can make you feel better?" He offered

"That sounds amazing. I'll be there in 5" I smiled and we said our goodbyes with me on my way to his house.

Once I got there he took me to see his mom then we headed up to his room I remember so well.

"TV and snacks?" He asked

I smiled and nodded saying I would get the snacks so I could see Anne and went downstairs

Harry Pov

I was laying on my bed playing on my phone waiting for her when her phone buzzed. I didn't think it would be a big deal so I grabbed it and checked the text so I could tell her

Cam 💖😎- hey babe. Call me whenever you get the chance 😘

I immediately tensed up and my mouth fell open a bit.

Who's cam and why is he calling her babe and why is there a heart next to his name and so much more. Why didn't she tell me about him. Did she feel like it was something to hide?

I didn't have much longer to think before she was in the doorway

Kaitlyn Pov

I go back upstairs and see Harry staring at my phone

"You okay babe?" I ask setting the tray of food down

"So who exactly is Cam" he said with anger in his voice

"My best friend from school why?" I say confused as to why he was like that

"Oh really? 'Hey babe. Call me whenever you get the chance' with a kissy face. You guys are a little close to be best friends." He says louder standing up

"Seriously. You're over reacting calm down. He's always called me babe" I said matching his tone

"Well tell him to stop because he doesn't get to call you that."

"Since when did you start telling me what to do?" I asked seriously getting annoyed

"Since you agreed to be my girlfriend. He doesn't get to act like you're his"

"You're really being ridiculous. He has a girlfriend so you need to just shut up"

"I need to shut up? Wow" he laughed dryly

"You know. At least he was there for me when you weren't!" I yell without thinking and instantly regretted it

He looked beyond hurt and his eyes were full of regret and guilt

"Harry- I didn't- " he stopped me before I could finish

"No" shakes his head "you're right. He was. " he nodded barely and looked down fidgeting

I bit my lip hard and wiped my eyes

"I should go" I whispered and grabbed my bag and phone

"I'm sorry" he whispered not making eye contact with me

"I'll call you later" I whisper back and kiss him softly and quickly before leaving

We just had our first fight and it made me feel so awful. I've had couple fights before and they usually don't bother me even when they're way bigger than this. But this hurt more than any of those and it was just a small one.

I don't know what it means. Maybe it's nothing. Maybe it is. All I know is that if I told him I loved him now.

I'm not sure It would be as a friend.
