Shuna: So, Lord Rimuru. What will you name them?

Both Luminous and Velzard eye me impatiently as they wait for my response. I give it some thought but ultimately decide on some fairly simple names, giving Velzard's daughter the name Sylvi while naming Luminous' Akane

Both women seem pleased with my choices. In truth, I've chosen names that somewhat represent the first thing I think of when I look at my daughters. In the case of Luminous' daughter, her red hair brought the name Akane to mind. She also sports heterochromia eyes like her mother and Raphael detects a large amount of magicules within her.

Velzard's child, on the other hand, is much like me. Blue hair, and golden eyes, I gave her the name Sylvi not because of her appearance but because the name means "of the forest" and she really is of the forest. Well, at least as far as where she was born...hehe.

Benimaru: Milord, given you now have two daughters, it might be wise to choose an heir.

Me: Hmm?

Benimaru seemingly unknowingly set off a chain reaction as both Luminous and Velzard grab his point and begin pestering me over it but a quick raise of my hand silences them both.

Me: I don't see why we need to discuss this matter.

Velzard: But-

Me: I'd like to think the answer is pretty obvious. I only have one wife, Luminous. Furthermore, her child is my first born so there is nothing to discuss with regards to my heir. Akane is my heir.

My declaration silences everyone's concerns but I've barely gotten them to calm down when another outburst riles everyone up once more. This time, it is Velzard who falls to her knees before me while pleading that I marry her. I glance at Luminous but she either doesn't notice or doesn't care as she continues playing with our child.

Velzard: I'll do anything.

Me: Why do you need me to marry you?

Velzard: I-

Luminous: Why not marry her? I don't mind.

This catches both of us off guard. Spinning around, I'm surprised to find her already by my side with a smile on her face.

Luminous: It won't change the fact that I'm the first wife and thus the head of the house. She can be the concubine.

Me: A concubine doesn't need to be married.

Luminous: Oh well, I tried.

She shrugs as she plops down into the nearest chair.

Velzard: Since I am one of the Demon Lords now, if you marry me it will officially tie the Ice Continent to Tempest through marriage. Plus, wouldn't it be amazing to have another True Dragon on your side?

Me: Everyone already knows you're tied to us though.

She desperately looks around for anyone to assist her, her eyes finally landing on Veldora and for a moment I swear I see him smile before sighing and standing up.

Veldora: I also wish for you to marry my sister.

Me: Huh? Why?

Veldora: If you marry her, she'll stop tormenting me.

Me: If I marry her she'll have a higher-ranking position in Tempest than you.

Veldora: Yes, but she'll also not want to be outdone by your current wife and thus will not do anything to upset you such as tormenting me. Whereas if I don't ask you to do this, I'm sure she'll never let me forget it-

I sigh. It is a very loud and deep sigh as if I've aged a thousand years.

Me: Velzard, are you sure you want to be a concubine? I won't spend as much time with you as I do Luminous-

Velzard: I'm certain!

I scratch my head, unable to comprehend why she'd do this even as I accept her request. To buy myself some time, however, I also declare that she'll have to wait for me to propose to her first and when asked about a timeline, I remain vague. The only instruction she receives is that she'll need to prove to me she's worth the trouble.

Me: Do you accept these conditions?

Velzard hesitates but ultimately, her answer is a foregone conclusion.

Velzard: I accept.
