Epilogue

Somewhere in heaven...

There's a solemn feeling throughout the entirety of the realm. It's been this way ever since Lady Lucia passed. Lord Veldanva had expected that he'd at least be able to die with her in his arms but life can be rather cruel sometimes. I suppose he should have figured something like this could happen but truth be told, none of us thought it were possible. He had died and so had she but once a True Dragon, always a True Dragon and as long as the concept surrounding his nature still existed so would he.

The deathly silence is suddenly broken by the hurried flutter of wings hurrying through the dark and gloomy halls. There's a loud bang as the doors to the master's throne room is thrown open. He looks up, a cold fury burning in his eyes but the intruder doesn't stop until they are at his feet.

Breathless, the woman delivers her message.

Avris: Lord Veldanava! We...we've found her!

At once, the previously unmoving dragon stirs. The entire realm trembles in the face of his might as he looks down on the now-cowering angel on the floor before him.

Veldanva: Don't play games with me, child...

Despite her fear, the angel persists with her tale, declaring that they've found the reincarnated spirit of his beloved wife Lucia.

Avris: She's in the new nation recently formed called Tempest. It seems she's further gained status as a True Dragon-

Veldanava: WHAT!

At that, he stands abruptly, the mere displacement of air his rising body causes sending shockwaves that blast the tine angel out of the throne room. The entirety of heaven is awake now, militarized and standing at the ready in case their Lord requires them.

Everyone thinks this is merely another raid on the land below, thinking it's the same as what they've done in the past when technology advances too far. They're expecting the commanding angels to take charge as they usually do but no. This time, Lord Veldanva steps out from his throne room and with a loud shout beckons every living angel to his side.

Every last one obeys. There are no questions. There are no second guesses. There is only obedience.

Veldanava: AVRIS!!! SHOW YOURSELF!!!

The angel that had delivered the message now scurries before her Lord, bowing partly out of reverence but mostly due to fear. Her legs quiver as her bladder struggles to keep from releasing its contents before her master.

Veldanava: I shall ask you again. SPEAK SO THAT ALL MAY HEAR!

The realm falls silent. Even the birds that took to flight during all the chaos now freeze in mid-air, beads of sweat dripping down every skin as they await the next scene with bated breath.

Avris: Lady Lucia Nasca...she...she's been reincarnated and is...she's now a True Dragon in-

Veldanava: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

His voice releases shockwaves that shake the very fabric of reality. The heavenly dimension begins ripping apart as he continues laughing before falling deathly silent. The shift is so sudden, so cold, that even the rifts that had been formed seal themselves right up.

Veldanva: I have waited far too long for this moment.

Feldway: Milord? Shall we visit the Eastern Empire first? That-

Veldanava: Mind your next words...

Feldway: Rudra is there and I believe he would be further able to confirm this or not given his nation almost went to war with this Tempest she speaks of.

Veldanava: I suppose it would be better than descending upon my wife's new home myself. 

Feldway: Yes, my Lord, as I can't imagine Lady Lucia would be pleased if we were to accidentally destroy her own creation.

Veldanava: Very well...let us visit my old friend.
