Velzard and I are hovering above the capital city of Raja, watching the Eastern Empire's army prepare to besiege the city. The defending forces have already fortified their positions and look ready to rebuff any assault on their walls. Despite it all, Velzard would have charged in headfirst if I'd not held her back the moment we arrived.

Velzard: I am going to kill him.

Me: I'd much prefer you didn't. At least, not yet.

Velzard: How can you say that after hearing what his men did to our child?

Me: Do you trust me?

Velzard: I...

She sighs, leaning against my shoulder as she whispers that she does. Smiling, I wrap my hands around her waist pulling her closer as I press a kiss against her forehead.

Me: Don't worry. You'll have your revenge.

She smiles, hugging me at that before I allow my body to drop towards the city. As I descend, Velzard hangs on, her arms wrapped around my neck even as we touch down within the city's walls.

We're instantly surrounded by soldiers who scream that the enemy has invaded but given I never said she couldn't kill the grunts, Velzard quickly dispatches them all through the use of icicle spears.

Guards: Enemies! Sound the alarm!

Bells ring across the city as men and women take to the skies on what look like small wyverns but between Velzard's ice spears and my own water attack the skies are quickly cleared of all enemies.

Still having our arms linked, we walk through the courtyard of the palace where we're met by Gazel and his guards. The Queen of Raja is also present along with what I presume are her Royal Knights. I pay them no mind, turning to face Gazel properly.

Gazel: Rimuru, I can-

Me: Explain? We're long past the point of talking.

At that Velzard lets go of my hand and vanishes from view, only reappearing after all the guards surrounding Gazel have been disembowelled.

Velzard: Can I kill him now?

Me: Just a moment.

I turn to the Queen of Raja.

Me: Did you have any part in this?

Gazel: Leave her out of this! She didn't-

Me: Are you so eager to die that you can't wait a few minutes?

Gazel: I-

Sigh

Me: Since you're so persistent. Did you know your guards tried to force themselves onto my daughters?

Gazel: What?

Me: Furthermore, did you know that your Ministers were planning on sacrificing them to the Dragons inhabiting your nation's mountain range?

Gazel: I...I already told them to abandon such an-

Me: So you did know...and yet you chose to leave my daughters in the hands of untrustworthy men.

Gazel: That wasn't-

Me: Pity. Here I thought we were friends.

Gazel: Rimuru wait! Let me explain!

When I turn away from him and begin walking away, he abandons trying to reason with me and draws his sword but Velzard doesn't give him the time of day,  instead ripping him to shreds before he can so much as move an inch. She doesn't leave behind even a fragment of skin, completely erasing him from the physical plane before I have Beelzebuth consume his soul to prevent any potential of reincarnation.

????: Please spare us...

I look in the direction of the person who spoke to find the Queen of Raja bowing her head.

Me: You're not my problem.

Without another word, I leave the city while Velzard goes on a killing spree massacring all the natives of Dwargon still within the city. She doesn't spare any, not the women nor the children, as she cuts down everything in her path even partly resembling a Dwargon native.

By the time she's done, there's hardly anyone left to guard the walls given we'd killed off Raja's main force when we first arrived.

As if to add insult to injury, she then blasts the gates to bits to give the Eastern Empire's army easier access to the city before leaving to join me.

Me: Feeling better now?

Velzard: Yes...though I wish you'd allowed me to kill her as well.

Me: Hmmm...how about being able to watch the city get razed to the ground instead?

Velzard: I...really?

Me: Consider it a date?

Velzard throws her hands around my neck as she plants kiss after kiss against my lips. She's so caught up in kissing me that we hardly notice the Eastern Army has begun its advance until screams reach our ears from the citizens as they attempt to flee deeper into the city.

Me: Enjoy.

Velzard: I...I want to-
