A/N: TW- Forced sexual themes

The Foyer

Daniels turns from the window. Henderson sits in a chair next

to Evelyn's door, chain-smoking. Both look wired with fear, "The hell with this. I'm goin', downstairs to get me a drink. You want somethin'?"

"Yeah, get me a glass of bourbon, a shot of bourbon, and a bourbon chaser!"

Daniels nods and heads out. Henderson just sits there, alone, smoking. He reaches into his jacket pocket, pulls out his Canopic jar, and fondles it. A breeze suddenly comes in through the open window. The curtains flutter. Henderson gets up and goes over to shut it. He looks out the window.

Henderson is lifted into the air by a mass of swirling sand. His body twists and turns and slowly shrivels as life is sucked out of him. Then he collapses to the floor. On the wall above him, the shadow of the sand condenses, forming a shadow of a human body. The body convulses as the body regenerates.

He regenerated even further and looks almost normal now, his face no longer decayed. He steps over Henderson's shriveled body and up to Evy's locked door. He peeps through the keyhole and sees a sleeping Evy. He goes to another door a little ways down the hall and peeps through the keyhole again. He sees Maggie. He lightly rattles her door knob before grinning to himself.

Maggie is slowly getting ready for bed, at her vanity, waiting on Rick. Sand streams in through her keyhole, dead silent. She brushes out her hair and takes the little makeup she has off. Maggie shivers, a bad feeling coming over her. She drops the little rag she was using on the floor. She sighs, annoyed at herself before picking it up.

Maggie comes back up, looks in her mirror, and screams. A hand reaches out and clasps around her mouth, muffling her. Imhotep hoists her away from her vanity as she struggles. Maggie scratches at his hand. Imhotep throws her on her bed and restrains her by putting a hand on her throat and positioning himself in between her legs, "Dalilah, stop fighting!"

"I'm not Dalilah!" Maggie struggles against his hand on her throat. He ignores her,

"Dalilah, me, you, and our baby can live happily once again. I will bring back Anck-su-namun so you can enact your revenge." He purrs out at her.

"What baby?" He looks at her confused before Maggie gets her feet under him and pushes him away, "Get away from me!" His nails scratched at her neck leaving long angry scratches down the sides of her neck.

He looked surprised then angry. Maggie tried scurrying away across the bed but Imhotep was quicker and grabbed at her ankle pulling her back towards him. He grabbed at her again, this time restraining her hands above her head with one hand and the other going back around her bleeding neck, "You're my wife! You belong to me!" He yells out and forcibly kisses her, his face rotting away now, down to the bone. Maggie screams being muffled.

Maggie's door bursts open, "Hey!" Imhotep's rotting face looks up, "Get your hands off of my wife!" Rick shouts out in blistering anger.

Imhotep looks to him angrily, "She's my wife!"

Rick, having no idea what he just said, just smirks, "Hey! Look what I got!"

He throws the white cat at Imhotep. He instinctively catches it. He shrieks drops the cat and stumbles back towards the window, which suddenly blows open. Imhotep spins like a dervish and bursts into a whirlwind of sand. Everybody covers their eyes. The sand devil explodes out the window and vanishes over the compound.

Rick runs to Maggie and takes her into his arms and she starts to sob, "It's okay, you're okay, I got you, Baby, I got you." He whispers into her ear. He pulls her out of his chest and looks at her for any injuries and when he sees the scratch marks on her neck he sees red, "I'm gonna kill, I swear I'll kill him, Maggie" Ric promises her, looking into her teary eyes, thumbs brushing tears on her cheeks away.

Daniels walks in, looks at Henderson's shriveled body on the floor, and drops the martini glasses.

Jonathan races his big convertible through the streets, honking constantly. Evy is up front by Jonathon, Maggie, and Rick in the back seat with Daniels. Maggie leaned into Rick, "You called me your wife." She whispers looking up at him.

"What no I didn't! I mean you'll be my wife, I'm not saying I don't want you to be I-" Rick stammers out but is silenced by Maggie with a kiss to his cheek.

"Rick it's fine." He looks into her eyes and then kisses her.

MUSEUM OF ANTIQUITIES

Rick, Jonathan, Daniels, the Curator, and Ardeth, the Madji, follow Evy and Maggie as they stride through the museum, "Last month I came across an inscription that mentioned The Book Of The Dead." Evy explains leading the group.

"The book we found at Hamunaptra?" Daniels asks

"Yes. I dismissed it because it talked about bringing people back from the dead. A notion I was unwilling to believe." Evy explains yet again.

"Believe it, sister. That's what brought our buddy back to life." Rick says a little sarcastically.

"And now he's going to use it to bring his girlfriend back-!" Jonathon exclaims worriedly.

"And if he succeeds, the two of them together will bring about the apocalypse." Ardeth finishes.

The Curator joins Evy at her side as she heads up the stairs, everyone else in hot pursuit, "The plagues we have seen so far, are merely Imhotep flexing his muscles. Only at the moment of Anck-su-namun's resurrection will he be truly invincible." He also explains. They reach the display cases and Evy quickly opens them.

"I'm thinking that if the black Book Of The Dead can bring people back to life-" Evy starts,

"then perhaps, the golden Book Of The Living can return them to the underworld." Maggie finishes and the two girls look at each other.

"Exactly!" Evy exclaims.

"So, you're saying if we find the book made out of gold-" Rick starts out,

"And read the sacred incantations contained inside of it." The Curator interrupts.

"You think it'll send this guy back to hell?" Rick finishes.

"Correct!" The Curator says.

And that's when loud chanting is heard coming from outside. They all rush over to the upper windows and look down outside: A large, crazed mob covered in hideous boils and sores comes chanting up the driveway: "Imhotep" "Imhotep"

"It has begun. The beginning of the end." Ardeth exclaims.

"Not quite yet it hasn't!" Evy dashes back to the display case and everyone follows.
