I hate Monday

Whatever the circumstances, if you need my help, I will be there for you. Regardless of whether you asked for it.

"Rachit's point of view,"

Mondays are usually my least favorite day of the week.

I don't know why my irritated alarm wakes me up more on Monday than any other day.

However, today's Monday was unlike any other.

I'm not sure why a needle has been pricking a corner of my heart since I spotted Riya with Harsh at the mall.

Girls are always looking for ways to talk to me, and Riya is the first girl I am eager to speak with.

I know she's happy with Harsh, yet despite knowing everything, I find myself drawn to her.

With Riya's hair open, her face moves in front of my eyes repeatedly.

Even thinking about her kept me awake at night, and I'm the guy who snoozes the alarm on Mondays.

I awoke this morning before the alarm went off.

I know Riya is going to be upset with me for my behavior from yesterday, so before she explodes her fury volcano in front of me, I apologize to her.

I apologized to her and walked over to her cabin.

However, when I noticed that Angad and Shweta were already in her cabin, I returned to mine.

Mr. Dhawan informed me an hour later that Riya had been dismissed from the new project lead position and that Angad would now be in charge.

I tried to learn everything I could from Mr. Dhawan.

He told me that Riya provided the wrong testing report and that when the plant Head inquired who was to blame; she said it was her fault. She put the responsibility squarely on her shoulders, blaming herself for the blunder.

Mr. Dhawan expressed his belief in Riya by saying, "I don't think Riya can be so careless."

"I believe so as well." After listening to Mr. Dhawan, I concurred.

I desired to meet Riya to get a complete truth.

I'm aware of Riya's dedication to her profession.

If she couldn't make such a mistake, why is she blaming herself so much?

I peered into her cabin and saw that it was empty; I explored all the office spaces for her but couldn't find her.

She was nowhere to be found when I went to the testing lab on the manufacturing floor.

When Angad's voice reached my ears, I was about to call her.

"Why are you putting all the blame on yourself, madam? While Shweta is to blame for everything," I came to a halt to hear Angad's voice and listen to his phone conversation.

"Ma'am, are you crying?" he inquired as the call proceeded.

I know Riya has a hard time letting tears fall from her eyes, so there must have been a major issue that caused her to cry on the phone.

I wanted to speak with her, to assure her I was with her and that she need not be concerned.

However, after listening to Angad's phone conversation, I left Riya alone for a while.

I couldn't stop myself from going to her after approximately 2 hours, and there was a small knock on her cabin door.

"Can I come in?" I inquired quietly.

When she noticed me, she stood up and invited me inside.

"Are you okay?" I said as I sat in the empty chair in front of her table.
