Forever love

chapter 5//

I'm sat behind the army tent eating an orange, listening to colonel Phillips declare Steve dead. Tears are streaming down my face. I knew this would happen. I haven't talk to Peggy at all today. I don't really want to. I hear colonel talking to Peggy inside the tent. I can't believe this is happening. Then suddenly everyone starts running and the colonel and Peggy come out the tent.
"Polly, come on." Peggy said as she carried on walking. I stood up and followed with my head hung low not caring about what was happening.

Everyone where cheering. I looked up confused. I couldn't believe my eyes. Steve and James standing right there. Alive. Breathing. I gasped. James locked eyes with. His face softened.
"Polly." He said softly. It felt so good to hear his voice. I went up to him and touched his face with hand. Then I flung my arms  around his neck and sobbed into him. His arms immediately wrapped around me. Holding me tight against him.
"James your here, your alive." I cried.
"I'm here doll. Stop crying please." He reassured taking my head in his hands and wiping away my tears. He then smashed his lips onto mine and everyone cheered around. James just cradled me in his arms as Steve talked to the colonel. I don't think I ever felt this much relief in my life.
"Hey! Let's hear it for captain America!" James called. And everyone cheered around us. I smiled then hugged Steve and kissed his cheek and pulled James in. We did a group hug. At the corner of my eye I could see Steve just staring at peg.
"I'm so happy your both okay." I told them.

Where back in London. Steve is telling us where all the bases of hydra are. He then tells colonel that he wants  to lead this team to take down all the hydra bases. I was currently sitting with James at pub as Steve goes talk to the men. I had my arms wrapped his arm.
"I'm so glad your okay." I told him.
"Me too doll. Me too." He said as kissed my head.
"Your never leaving me again." I said sternly.
"Can't promise that doll. With this new team Steve wants, I think I'm his side chick now." He joked. I giggled
"I know but I don't want you to go."
"Let me tell you something poll." He said as he moved me so I was facing him. He held my hands in his.
"Throw the war. Throw everything I've been threw these past couple of months. You kept me going. Having you in thoughts motivated me to do well and come back home to you. You saved me doll." He smiled at me at the end of his little speech.
"I love you James, but I know how dangerous hydra are. There capable of so much none of you know. I mean that gun you where telling about. It fuelled by energy hardly anyone's heard off and it will such a powerful energy." I rambled.
"I know honey, stop with the science you know I don't understand, but I gotta do it for Steve. We beat em last time whos says we won't do it again. How do you know so much about hydra anyway?" He questioned. My heart stopped.
"Oh um I studied them a little in college." The lie fell straight of my tongue, again.
"Of course you would, your little scientific brain couldn't stay away from." He chuckled. I giggled

"See? I told you. They're are all idiots." James said as Steve came through the door and sat next to me.
"How about you? You ready to follow captain America into the jaws of death?" Steve asked sarcastically.
"Steve!" I scolded. Bucky chuckled.
"Hell no. That little guys from Brooklyn who was too dumb to not run away from a fight. I'm following him." James proudly said. I love these two.
"But your keeping the outfit right." James asked.
"You know what? It's kinda growing on me." Steve said. I giggled.
"Ugh Steve it's horrible." I said laughing. All three of burst into laughter. Deja vu. In the High schools cafeteria laughing our asses off to something dumb. I miss it so much.

Few seconds later Peggy came through the door in a beautiful red dress. The whole pub went silent. I was shocked. I stood there staring at her with my eyes and mouth wide open. I was just in a plain crème dress with a flow skirt and white shoes. She put me to shame. Steve, james and I stood up to welcome her.
"Peggy, omg you look absolutely beautiful." I said going to hug her. She smiled and hugged me back.
"Thank you Polly."
"Captain." She said to Steve.
"Agent carter." Steve answered. I nudge james to say something to her.
"Ma'am" he said. I giggled at his awkwardness and took his hand in mine.
"Howard has some equipment for you to try tomorrow morning?" Peggy told Steve.
"Sounds good." Said Steve.
"I see your top squad is prepping for duty." Peggy said looking out the door to they guys singing at a tabled. All our eyes followed hers.
"You don't like music?" James asked.
"I do actually." She answered, keeping her eyes on Steve.
"I might even when this is all over, go dancing." She proposed not breaking eye contact. I looked at each of them smiling. Power couple.
"Then what are we waiting for?" James says.
"The right partner." Peggy smiled. I snuggled into James side and kissed his cheek.
"O8OO captain." With that she walked away.
"Yes ma'am. I'll be there." Steve said as she walked away.
"Steve omg. Did you see that way she looked at you?" I told him grabbing his arm.
"We were invisible poll. Where turning into you. This is like a horrible dream." James joked.
"I know it was amazing!" I exclaimed.
"Don't take it so hard, buck"
We sat there for hours talking. James was telling us about his time in the war and what hydra did to him. Steve was telling us funny story's off his shows. It felt so good to be back together again. I missed them so much.
