Forever love

chapter 6//

I was walking behind Peggy writing on a clipboard. We were about to round a corner when she stopped. I flew into her and dropped my clipboard. As I was picking it up she said rather loudly.
"Captain!"
"We're ready for you, if ur not other wise occupied."
As I looked up I saw Steve and Nancy. I hate her, she's always flirting with the guys. One of them guys being James. Steve tie was messy so was his hair. Stupid boy.
"Agent carter, wait."
"Looks like finding a partner wasn't that hard after all." Peggy said sassily.
"Peggy that's not what you thought it was." Steve explained. I stood back watching, I know it was exactly what it looked like.
"I don't think anything, captain, not one thing." Peggy told him.
"You always wanted to be a soldier,and now you are, just like all the rest."
"Well, what about you and stark? How do I know you to haven't been fondue-ing?" Steve questioned. Oh god, he's so stupid.
Peggy turned to look at him with an amused face and said.
"You still don't know a bloody thing about women." And with that we walked off. I slapped Steve shoulder as I walked past and muttered.
"Silly boy!"

I was sat a a desk still doing paper work for Peggy. When Steve and stark come in talking. I was my paying attention. I tend to get lost in work quite a lot.
"You quite finished, Mr stark?" It was Peggy, she just walked around the corner.
"I'm sure the captain has some unfinished business." Now i definitely was not lost in my work.
"What do ya think?" Steve asked her. He was holding up a vibranium circle shield. Peggy picked up a gun, then shot at Steve. The gunshots sound waves echoed through the entire building. Everyone stopped what they where doing to hide.
"Yes, I think it works." She said rather sarcastically. She then walked away with a sway in her hips.
"Oh my god, I love her!" I exclaimed.

It's been a couple of weeks since Steve and buck went out on the hydra mission. I haven't slept properly since. I'm so scared somethings going to happen. Though, there on a role. They have taken down so many hydra bases. I've never been more proud. Where currently watching a projector movie of there mission. Tears are wetting my cheeks but smile is etched on my face as I watch what there doing. I miss them so much and just want them home safe and sound.

I was getting ready to head in to work, like every morning doing my normal routine, when there was a knock at the door. I opened it and was so surprised to see Steve. I gasped and launch my arms around his neck.
"Steve! When did you get back?"
"Yesterday." Sadness filled his voice. I dint say another word I let him in. He sat on the sofa. He was trying to find the words and strength to speak. I knew what he was going to say though. If I'm honest, I don't want him to say them.
"He fell poll. I tried so hard to get him, b-but he- the railing gave in I-" he burst into tears. I looked in his head and saw exactly what happened. I couldn't talk. No words could make me feel better. I just sat there. Emotionless. Steve couldn't take it anymore and ran out my apartment.

2 days. That's how long it's been. I haven't left my hotel room. Its recked. Everything is broken. The phone has rang so many times these past 2 days. I can't deal with this anymore. I can't deal with anyone. I need to leave. Start a new life again. A knock took me out of my thoughts. Lying in the middle of the kitchen floor. The smashed dining table next to me. I didn't move. Whoever it is can leave. I'm not opening the door. The next thing I know, the door is being unlocked and Peggy walk through it.

"Polly?" She called when she saw me.
"Are you okay?"
"What does it looked like peg?" I answered bitterly. She looked down and didn't reply
"I'm so sorry Polly. And I know that won't do anything. But I wanna be here for you. You need to let me be here for you."
I was never gonna let that happen. By the end of this week, I'll be gone.

This is a little short, if I'm honest I didn't know what to write. Also, I bet your all super confused and it's gonna take quite a while for you to find out lol
