Hello, hello! So, I will only have a couple more chapters of this book. Yeah, it will be a short book, but I can't think of anything else really. Then, Undead_Raider_ and I will co-write the sequel!
~Jae~
I took a deep sigh. I smelt the fresh sweet summer air as Deuce and I walked down the sidewalk passed people. Everything seemed to be so quiet, even the citizens on the street. There wasn't a breeze even blowing, no rattling trees' leaves, no howling of the wind. There were hardly any birds around. It was such a nice day.
It was great to be out of jail. I thought I would be locked up in there forever, since Shelby was pissed the moment the cops got their hands on me. The others would've known what was best and leave me in there, probably thinking that I would learn from it, which is true. Matthew.. He'd probably try to bail me out, but the guys would hold him back and coax him into not doing it.
"I probably look like a bad influence to Shelby. Even Alice." I say as we walk towards Aron's car.
He opened the door for me, leaning his scrawny arms on the top of the door as he stared down at me curiously, "What do you mean?"
"Let's just say, Whenever I'm around alcohol, I get drunk. Let's just say I've tried weed once or twice, and I've over-dosed on ecstasy." I got closer to the car, looking back at Aron.
After a quick look-over, Aron sniffles and looked off somewhere else, over the roof of the car. He cleared his throat, "I don't think that is all true."
"What?"
"See," Aron shifted, turning his head back to me, rolling his hands. "you basically let them learn from your actions, not their actions. When you-- uh, let's say drink-- they know that they should either stay away from it, or not drink a lot of it so they don't get as sh*t-faced as you."
I nod a bit, thinking about how the hell Aron Erlichman became so "wise". He seemed to be uncomfortable after awhile, so he decided to turn away. I was probably giving him a look.
"Let me just say that I'm not too fond of saying this; but when the others," Deuce wrinkled his nose, "saw me acting like I was, seeing me do all the selfish sh*t, I bet the first thing they thought was: 'I'm not going to do that.'"
I nodded before climbing into the car. He closed the door gently, making sure that there were no fingers or toes harmed while shutting it. Aron walked around the car, then sat in the driver's seat. He started the engine, and after a couple cars passing us, we drove out of the park spot smoothly.
It just had to be weird having a sister that was friends with your ex-friends. It was probably like having your friend date your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend. In fact, Aron probably had it worse than that; I was friends with all 6 of them, and dating one of them. God knows what would happen if Matthew or I broke up.
I gave Deuce my house address. He started to drive in that direction. Luckily, there was hardly any traffic, so we got to my house within 10 minutes. I climbed out, "Want a tour of my house?"
"Someone's here. Is it your roommate?" Deuce pointed at a car as he got out.
Sh*t.
Sure enough, it was Shelby's new 2015 black Chevrolet Camaro. I stopped dead in my tracks. Before I new it, the front door swung open and Shelby came trudging towards us. My 1968 Impala was in the driveway. I never put my car in the driveway. I always put it in the garage where it would be safe.
Johnny was the next to exit the house. I saw Aron tense up and ball his fists. My mouth was dry, and I swallowed hard. Shelby punched Aron right in the jaw before I could stop her, slightly causing him to stagger back a bit. I pushed her away.
"Don't do that!" I scolded, glaring at her.
"Why are you with him?" Jinx snapped, getting up in my face. I thought I would never see her like this before.
"Why? Oh, I don't know.. Maybe because he's my brother!"
Alice stood on the porch, her eyes almost popping out of her head. FunnyMan stood on the last step, while the other guys crossed their arms and stood in front of the house. Matthew walked out of the house, across the lawn toward me.
"Babe, thank God you're alright." He said with a sigh of relief, then noticed Aron.
"Why is he here, though? You know I don't like him. The others don't either." Shelby pointed a finger at Deuce. I smacked it away.
"This is why I didn't want you to go to StarBucks," I press my lips together, "because I knew that you would try to beat the sh*t out of him without even knowing who he was to me."
Shelby gave me a look, then scoffed, "What the f*ck are you talking about?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Shelby. You've lived with me for years, you should have figured it out by now."
"Jae, could you--"
"Don't Jae me, Alice," I interrupt Alice, sending a glare her way, "this doesn't involve you."
"Maybe it does because she's part of the band." Jinx says.
"No. This is between you and I."
"So you know, we aren't having any family reunions at our house. I don't wanna see DeuceBag over here again."
"If you can't stand him so much, then how can you stand me, Jinx?!" I shove her again. Shelby hesitated. Matt took a step closer to me, but came to a halt. I glared at Jinx, waiting for an answer. With a groan, I turned to Deuce, "You know what? I'm breaking up the band."
"Wait, you can't do that sh*t, Mya!" Shelby snapped, "Alice and I will just be in the band without you."
"The hell you won't." I turned back to her, face to face with her. All I could see was her eyes. My fists were balled, my heart was thumping against my chest. I was angry. "I just can't believe you right now, Jinx. I'm just-- very. Very. Disappointed."
I walked off, without Deuce, without anyone by my side. I left Aron there with his ex-friends, where he could possibly get his ass kicked. I stomped down the road, waiting for someone to try and stop me.
But no one did.
