Last chapter.

It's quiet. And dark. The only thing that is heard is the heart monitor. I sit in the chair next to the bed silently, holding her hand, waiting for a response. The TV is off, and the only window in the room is shut with the curtains closed. My cheeks are stained from my tears, my eyes are puffy and I feel drowsy. It has been a long day, trying to get her out of jail and hunting her down. Then, when we do find her we end up with her..
In a coma.
I try to stay as calm as possible every time I examine my best friend. A white bandage wraps around her forehead to the back of her head where her wound is. They stitched the large cut up, but it was still bleeding a bit. The bandage would probably need changed in the morning. A cut was just above her eyebrow, all stitched that would probably leave an ugly scar later on in life. A series of cuts and bruises were along her arms and legs, giving the doctors and nurses a challenge in order to stop her from bleeding. Small clear tubes ran into her veins, giving her blood and other special liquids in order to keep her alive. She wore an oxygen mask to keep the oxygen flowing to her brain.
Jae lay in the bed propped up, her arms to her side neatly. She rather looked dead then alive. A tear slipped from my eye as I thought about it. I gripped her hand tight as I sat there.
Alice made her way in like a mouse, not saying a peep. She leaned against the wall, several feet away from the hospital bed. Alice watched, then dropped her head, then stared at her feet.
"The band's not breaking up," I whisper, "I don't give a sh*t on what you said, we are still in it no matter what."
Once I glanced over again, Alice was out the door. I shifted slowly in my chair, "You're too young to leave the world, and you have too many people that care for you."
"Literally. You have all those fans, you have the HU crew," J-Dog walked in, holding back tears, but choking on every word he said, "babe, Matthew wants to be alone with her, now."
I stood up, then made my way to the door. I felt like the Tin Man that was getting all stuck from no oil. I could hardly move as I walked out the door into the hall. I saw Matty walk in and close the door. The guys sat along the wall in metal chairs, waiting to see on what would happen. Alice hugged me, trying not to cry. Dylan stood up, putting a hand on her shoulder, since he knew me too well. She turned to burry her face into his chest, and I saw her start to shake, indicating that she was crying. I sat in an empty chair, and Jorel sat next to me.
I stood up, not because he was next to me, but because I wanted to see Mya. J touched my hand, which made me stop in my tracks.
"You've been in there for about two hours now. How about you just stay in the hall with the guys and I? Get some rest and give her some space?" Jorel said.
"Just.. Let me say goodnight to her." I pull away, and I slowly open the door to her dark room.
Matthew sits by her side, burying his face into the bed. His body is shaking, and silent sobs are slightly heard. In his left hand, there is a small dark velvet box that you could hardly see in the light. He was looking at it.
It was an engagement ring.
I quickly came to his aid, rubbing circles in his back. Kurlzz probably felt the same way as me, but even more heart broken than ever. He finally lifted his fluffy head up, so that you could see his face which hand tears streaming down his face.
This time, he wasn't crying because Hollywood Undead hadn't made it on the radio. This was from sadness, pain, and dying hope.
Matty tried to wipe the tears away and control it, but it continued. He held onto the velvet case tightly, and without hesitation he hugged me.
"There, there.." I say calmly, but I start to cry with him.
"What if s-she doesn't come back? I.. I won't get the chance to ask her.. I won't be able to see her beautiful face, or even wake up in the morning knowing that she isn't right next to me. Her personality.. Oh, God.." He sobbed, not able to control himself.
"She will c-come back.." I say, pulling away from him.
Matty sniffled, finally calming down. He took Jae's hand, and looked at her.

I ran toward the room she was in. The guys ran after me, trying their best to stop me. Matthew was already in the room, yelling. Jorel picked me up as soon as I reached the doorway, and I started to kick and flail my legs. The flatline was easily heard, and I started to bawl.
"NO!!" I screamed, and as soon as J got away from the room he held me close.
There was a clatter and thud from Mya's room. A muffled grunt came, and I pulled my face away from Jorel. Danny and Funny sprinted over to the room, and once they got there Johnny burst through the door and threw Matty out. George's lip was bleeding, and he looked pissed off than hurt.
"Give them some space!" George yelled, and Matthew stood up quickly.
"She's dead! She's dead--" FunnyMan cut Matthew off by covering his mouth.
George's teeth were gritted, and he walked over to Matty and shoved him, "Don't think that!"
"But she is dead," I sobbed, "She's gone, George, she's dead--"
"Shelby! Shelby, you need to wake up." J shook me, and I quickly sat up from the uncomfortable chair. He quickly embraced me, and started to rock me, "It was just a dream.. Just a dream."
