Part 11: the quidditch world cup

Miley was awoken the next morning by a screeching Hermione. " miley, Ginny get up Mrs Weasley has made breakfast" she shouted while kicking their beds. Miley never understood how she got up so easily in the mornings. She heard Ginny groan as they both slowly got out of bed. Hermione then made her way through the house waking up everyone else. Miley got showered and dressed. She wore an oversized maroon red jumper with black bicycle shorts and trainers. She put her hair into a messy bun and decided to only do minimal makeup for the day as it was super early. Miley headed downstairs to find a half asleep Ginny tucking into some bacon and a weirdly wide awake Hermione who was gladly enjoying some eggs. Miley slumped next to them still half asleep and began to plate up some bacon and toast. The twins came down the stairs groggily. They wore jumpers and jeans and there long hair looked freshly washed. Fred slumped next to Miley and gave her a weak smile still fighting sleep. She reciprocated and finished her meal. Hermione went back up to yell at Harry and Ron who hadn't woke yet. Mr Weasley had been sat at the table the whole time smiling gladly.

Harry and Ron finally joined the group looking more groggy than the rest of them. "well it's about time boys, we were going to be late" mr Weasley stated standing up and putting on his coat. "Where's the others?" Ron said shoving some sausages into bread and chowing down. " your brothers will join you later on" Mrs Weasley stayed starting to clear the table. " wait so they get a lie in while we have to be up at the crack of dawn" Ron said angrily. " enough Ronald, Harry get something to eat quickly" Hermione snapped as she too began to get ready to leave. Ginny followed them then the twins and Miley. Harry grabbed some toast and they all said their goodbyes to Mrs Weasley and left. They began walking to god knows where. The twins weren't as chirpy as usual, if anything they seemed quite down. " what's up with your gloomy faces?" Miley asked as the twins walked in silence. " mums had a go, she found our plans for the joke shop last night and told us to stop messing around. She really went in on Fred though" George said. Miley looked at his brother who seemed really down. George walked ahead to join his father and Ginny. Miley grabbed Fred's hand which made him slightly smile. He squeezed it and began to swing it as-if showing everyone.

" wanna talk about it Freddie?" She asked looking at the tall boy sulk. " she said it's all my fault. She thinks I'm taking George's chances of a good education away from him. I know I do head the operations a lot but George is free to do as he pleases I don't force him." He began in a slightly sulky tone. " she says that I'm going to end up getting one of us into serious trouble if I carry on. It's not fair, I'm her son too why does she always blame me" he continued still swinging their hands. " well I think your joke shop is a brilliant idea regardless, I'm by both yours and George's side no matter what!" She said. Fred gave her hand a little squeeze and gave her a thank you glance.

" how long is left now dad?" Miley heard Ron whine from behind them as he, Harry and Hermione trailed along. " I'm not sure, shouldn't be too long" Miley heard mr Weasley shout back. She turned to see Ron walking in a sulk, Hermione lecturing him about time management and Harry scouring back at her looking between Fred, Miley and their hands. She chuckled and shrugged. Fred turned around and realised the situation , he winked at Harry then put his arm around Miley's neck as they continued to walk. " you look beautiful by the way love" he whispered into her ear making me slightly giggle. She felt like he was doing it purposely to Annoy Harry but she didn't mind.

" ah we're here" mr Weasley shouted. Ahead of them they could see the figures of three people. As they got closer they realised the figures were mr diggory and his children Cedric and Callie. Callie was in the same year as Harry and like her brother was a hufflepuff. Cedric was in Miley's year and very popular with the girls. She could see Hermione and Ginny flirtatiously giggling around him but his eyes were locked on Miley's. He smiled and came up to Miley giving her a hug. He slightly brushed off Fred which she could tell had annoyed Fred majorly. It made Harry laugh which only annoyed Fred more. Well mean technically Miley and Fred weren't really anything so he didn't have the right to get jealous. " hey miley, wow you look beautiful" Cedric said giving her a friendly smile. She gave Callie a hug as they had spoken a few times over the years. She was a lovely girl and Miley did intend to get closer to her this year. " hi fred" Cedric said as he stood awkwardly with his hands in his pockets. Fred scoffed and walked to stand with his twin brother. Miley was slightly annoyed by his behaviour as he really didn't need to treat Cedric like that. Mr Weasley was busy introducing Harry to mr diggory to see his sons abnormal behaviour. They all were then ushered around a manky old boot and were told to hang onto it. It was a port key. Miley lay on her stomach and put her hand on it, she felt Cedric's hand touch hers and they both smiled. Miley could feel the burning of Fred's eyes on them with pure hatred.
