Part 19: a dance

They all headed down to breakfast on a Saturday. It was the first weekend Miley had with the twins since they were talking again and she was so excited to spend time with them. Lee joined them for breakfast as they got prepared for our day ahead. The trio had joined them and Ginny and her friends sat not to far. The twins were making jokes and Miley was so happy to finally be back to normal. The owls came with the morning post. The Weasleys owl dropped a parcel with Ron and a letter each to the twins and Ginny. Miley too received a letter from their owl which was out of the ordinary. Before they could open their letters they all gave their full attention to Ron's package. It was rare for one Weasley to get something without the others. " what is it Ron?" Fred said putting his arm around Miley's waist. They were kind of public now which felt weird. They still had yet to tell their parents and with them not going home for Christmas it may not be until the end of the year that they had to tell them.

Ron opened the package and pulled out the most terrible dress Miley had ever seen. It looked very old and was a dark purple. He turned to Ginny, " Ginny this must be for you" he said trying to pass the young girl the dress. " I'm not wearing that it's ghastly" Ginny said in disgust. Hermione sat the whole time in fits of giggles which confused us all. Harry began to pull out a bonnet and that set us off further. " there not for Ginny" the girl began " there for you" she continued and everyone in the hall all began to laugh at Ron. " there dress robes" she finished and they all lost it. They were practically crying with laughter. When everyone calmed down the twins then had a look of realisation " where not getting them too are we?" They said " what do we need dress robes for?" Ron asked as he sunk back into his seat. The twins looked at one another and opened there letters. A few galleons fell out each envelope and the two boys red the letters. " sweet" George said " well that's us sorted" Fred added and then kissed Miley on the forehead. " what's the money for?" Ginny asked " for dress robes for ourselves" Ron's face dropped. " no. This is not fair. How come you get new dress robes and I don't" he said. Miley began to ignore as he went on a rant and opened her letter.

Dearest miley,
                          We have given Fred some galleons for some new dress robes but please do go with him. He hasn't got the best style when it comes to smart wear. I hoped that you will wear a family heirloom to the ball but I am completely ok if you decide not to. It's a dress. I can send it if you would like. If not please do let me know.

Miley looked between the siblings to see who would crack. She noticed Ginny not catching her eye. It was Ginny. She must have wrote home and told Mrs Weasley. " what does your letter say love" Fred said looking at the letter from his mother. " well she wants me to also wear one of your family heirlooms. I wonder why" Miley said in a sarcastic tone while glancing at Ginny. " sorry Fred. Sorry miley. She asked about you guys" Ginny started " Gin it's fine, I'm glad mum knows" Fred said with a smile " well whatever it is even if it's an ugly dress like that over there" he said while pointing to Ron's package " you'll still be the most beautiful girl in the room" he looked her dead in the eye when he said it. His eyes always made her feel weak. "Eww, I truly wish I didn't hear that" Ginny said in disgust turning back to her meal.

They finished breakfast and Miley wrote back to Mrs Weasley saying she would be delighted to wear the dress. " Lee and I were wanting to spend a bit of time alone if that's ok" George asked as we began to leave the hall. " sure" Miley replied giving both George and Lee hugs and they watched them set off to enjoy some alone time. " so what shall we do with our day" Miley asked Fred. " let's head to the astronomy tower" Fred said taking her hand and leading the way. A weird request but Miley decided to go with the flow. They go to the tower and went up the stairs to the roof. There was a radio. And two easels with canvases . The paints and pallets where floating mid air . From the astronomy tower you could see Over the black lack and the forbidden forest in all it's dark glory. It was still fairly early making it the perfect time to paint. Miley looked at Fred who was looking back at her anxiously." I thought considering we've never had a first date why not have one now!" She looked at him with awe. " Freddie this is perfect" she said before giving him a peck on the lips and running to one of the easels. Fred turned on the radio. The song until I found you by Stephen Sanchez Began to play. They sat at chairs and began to paint. They spent hours painting being careful as to not show each other. Miley painted the black lake with the durmstrang boat still sat on it. She also decided to add the beauxbaton carriage in the sky from memory.
