My first love

Part 13: the return to hogwarts

The final few days of summer they spent relaxing at the burrow. After what happened at the World Cup, they we were all just emotionally drained. Miley spent days reading with Hermione, baking with Mrs Weasley and planning the future for the twins joke shop. The night before they were due to return to hogwarts they were sent to bed earlier. They knew it was more for the boys as the girls always got up when told. As Ginny, Hermione and Miley sat around ginnys room they began to talk. " I've really enjoyed spending time with Harry" Ginny said slightly embarrassed by her words. "Ooooo falling in love are we" Miley teased. " well not all of us can win the affections of two boys" Hermione added making her and Ginny laugh. " what do you mean?" Miley asked slightly confused by the statement. " oh please" Ginny said with an eye roll " Cedric was all over you" Hermione said " no he wasn't" Miley said defensively. " oh he sure was and that has made my brother ever so jealous" Ginny added. Miley didn't say anything just looked to the ground. " i don't get it though. Fred is practically all over you all the time but he won't ask you to be his girlfriend officially" Hermione said which made Miley feel slightly better knowing the girls understood how she was feeling " well I really don't think he ever will" she said looking down.

" maybe he will, I heard him talking to George the other day in private. He said he didn't want Cedric taking what was his. George reminded him that technically you wasn't his because you aren't actually a couple" Miley's head shot up at the sound of that " and what did Fred say?" She asked eagerly. " he said George was right and that's all I really heard" Ginny said knowing it wasn't the answer Miley was looking for. "Oh" she replied feeling slightly embarrassed that she got so eager. " you should get closer to Cedric. It'll drive Fred mad then he'll have to ask you to be his girlfriend" Hermione said and Ginny agreed excitedly " I know my brother and he doesn't like to share" Ginny added as the two girls got giddy at the idea. Miley laughed " maybe, anyways what about you Hermione I saw you ogling krum at the match" she said teasingly. " well he is a very pretty person that's true, but I'm more for personality than looks" she said firmly. They all laughed before soon deciding to get an early night for their big day ahead the next day.

The next morning the children had breakfast and headed to the same barrier they'd been going to many years before. Miley ran through and saw the giant red and black train that signalled their return home. Miley received owls from all three of her parents expressing their concerns about what happened at the World Cup and what's ahead for their upcoming year. Miley's father was the most worried but he didn't neglect to add he knew she would be safe as she always had her 'bodyguard' around to protect her. She did truly see where she gets it from, the humour. The group said their goodbyes to the Weasley parents before headed into the train. They were quite early so they found the perfect compartment. The trio went off as always as-well as Ginny who went to find her friends from her year.

As they sat waiting Lee appeared in the compartment. Miley had gotten extremely close with George over the summer and they had discussed for hours his situation with Lee. She truly cared for him and it hurt to see him so hurt. Lee sat next to Fred with a big smile. Fred sat by the window his hand on his face as he looked out. The train began to leave and they saw Mrs Weasley wave them off. Once they pulled out of the station Miley turned to Lee " where's Marcus?" She asked slightly trying to pry on George's behalf. She could tell George was listening. " oh well we split up actually" Lee added still with a happy tone. Miley saw George's attention peak at the news. " oh no Lee, what happened do you mind me asking? She asked hoping he'd spill the tea. " well there's this other guy who he was jealous of and I guess he thought I wasn't truly interested in him" Lee added glancing at George. Miley felt excitement filing her up but she wanted to seem sympathetic for Lee " well that's too bad I am sorry" she added trying not to sound excited. Fred who was sat next to her seemed super confused by what was going on but she gave him a look to tell him to drop it and he did. " what about you two, official yet?" Lee asked getting revenge on Miley's prying. She didn't say anything she thought Fred would but he didn't either. " no there not. but there bloody annoying around each other" George said in a now happier mood than before. " you've suddenly cheered up George, I do wonder why" Miley teased. He gave her a glare but dropped it when Lee looked. " well I bet you a box of Bertie's every flavour beans that these two end up together by the end of the year!" Lee said sticking his hand out for George to shake " your on, he'll never do it" George said shaking lee's hand. " we are hear you know!" Fred said with a fake shocked face. 

They pulled into hogsmeade a few hours later, this time it was dark. They got onto their usual cart that pulled itself. Once they reached the castle Miley went to to new dorm she was sharing with Hermione and her roommates and began to decorate her side of the room. She then headed down to the Great hall for her first Hogwarts meal of the year. The first years were sorted but before they could eat Dumbledore had a major announcement. " this year we will be host to students and the headmasters of two other schools; beaux baton and durmstrang" he started with the student beginning to cut the chatter. " this is because hogwarts will be hosting the triwizard tournament." He Carried on announcing. The hall re-broke into chatter as Dumbledore carried on his speech but they had all stopped listening. He finally gave up and allowed the feast to start. " we are definitely entering" the twins said eagerly. " did anyone hear him say when the other schools arrive? Miley asked as the twins began to plan. " October" Hermione said rather excitedly. They all tucked into their meals but they knew that it wasn't their major concern in that moment. They were more concerned with the huge event coming in a month to their school.
