Chapter 4 ~ matchmakers ~

Meanwhile on the mainland, Lon was in his office and picking up the phone he pressed the extension for his best friend and business partner, Kiri.

"hey brother, do you need me for anything urgent for the next few day's?" he asked his best friend.

"Hmmm nope, not really Lon, what do you have in mind?" Kiri asked.

"my friend Tap, the guy I told you about who is relocating from the States to Koh Samui, he's staying at our resort right now, it appears our Chet has caught his eye but of course he's in denial, anyway, I'm thinking Andy and I could do with a break for a few day's"

"right, well you know it's been a while since one of us checked on the resort down there" Kiri said.

"great mind's brother, that's just what I was thinking" Lon added.

"well, have a safe trip and keep me updated" Kiri said.

"will do, see you in a few" Lon replied before hanging up the phone to call his fiancé.

"Andy babes, are you busy?" Lon said.

"the usual, why?"

"I have to go to Koh Samui for a few days, I thought we could make a mini break out of it?" Lon suggested.

"awesome, I can take my laptop and work from anywhere so I'm in" Andy who was a freelance animator replied.

"great, I'll meet you back at our apartment in thirty minutes so we can pack, love you" Lon said.

"love you too, see you soon" Andy replied before they both ended the call.

Lon called the KJ Industries pilot and asked for the helicopter to be made ready to transport them to the island, they could land directly on top of the resort and would be there before lunch then he called Chet.

"Chet, how are you?" he asked.

"fine Mr Ryou, how are you and Andy?" Chet enquired.

"we're good Chet but how many times have I told you to call me Lon? anyway, Andy and I need a break so we're on our way down, we should be there before lunch but while we are there I plan to check on the resort, kill two birds with one stone so to speak" Lon said.

"very well Lon, I'll make sure all the paperwork is at your disposal" Chet replied.

"listen Chet, you've met my friend Tap?" Lon said

"yes, I placed him in the cottage beside mine, he seems happy enough with everything"

"well seeing as I'm coming down can you do me a favor?"

"a favor?, if I am able yes"

"well Tap needs someone to drive him around and show him the island, it's a long time since he was there, he also needs to find some real estate agencies to show him some properties or land, can you take some time to show him around for me" Lon asked.

"couldn't anyone else do it though Lon?" Chet asked.

"you're the only person I trust with my friend Chet, I have every confidence in you that you will look after him"

"then I guess, if you want me to ..." Chet replied.

"do you not like him?" Lon asked curious now.

"it's not that Lon, I'm just so busy"

"I can run things for you Chet, when was the last time you took sometime for yourself, it's not going to be all work, take some time man, dine out, chill and show Tap around for me, come on Chet, it's only for a few day's ..." Lon said.
