The Beginning

It was another lovely day in Palismen forest. Clover had just waken up and was now very excited.
'Today is the big day!' She thought to herself.
She jumped out of her nest and flew away from her home in the tree. Clover had to find her best friend.
Meanwhile, a red cardinal was sleeping in a nest in a different tree. He doesn't normally get a lot of sleep so he was glad he was getting some now...
Suddenly, Clover burst through his wooden door. She looked over to see he was asleep.
She bolted over to the cardinal bird and sat down next to him, beginning to peck him on the head, trying to wake him up.
'Wow, I thought that would work!' Clover pouted.
But luckily, she had another tactic...
"WAKE UP FLAPJACK!!!" Clover shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Ahhhhh!" Flapjack responded, frightened and startled.
He looked over to see his best friend, Clover the bee.
"What the hell Clover, what was that for!?" Flapjack replied, angrily.
"Are you forgetting what day it is? It's the big day!" The bee replied.
"Oh yeah, let's get going!" Flapjack came to realise.
Flapjack got out of his nest and the two palismen flew out of his home and through the forest. Palismen forest was very big and there were so many palismen that had been abandoned so they now live here.
Flapjack then looked down to see his friend, Emmeline. The cardinal told Clover and the two flew down to see her.
They landed in front of her.
"Hiya Emmie!" Clover greeted.
"Oh, hello Flap and Clover!" Emmeline replied, waving.
The three started talking about how excited they were to meet their new owners and stuff.
"So, what qualities do want from your new owner Emmeline?" Flapjack asked.
"Hmmmm... I want an owner who is interested in the Human realm and giraffes... I also hope they don't mind my terrible flying skills, that was the reason I got abandoned to begin with!" The blue chameleon explained.
Flapjack then looked over at the bee palismen, "What about you, Clover?"
"I want an owner who is really strong and smart, but also cares about others and wants to protect her friends!" Clover said, "How about you?"
"...I d-don't really know yet," Flapjack replied.
"Well you'll figure it out, I know you will!" Clover reassured him.
Flapjack blushed slightly but he didn't know why...
Then, Emmeline noticed Ghost and Maya were nearby. She told the rest and they tried to stay away because both of them are mean but they walked over anyway.
"Hello losers! We saw you were talking about what you want your new owners to be like!" Maya the crab said.
"Leave us alone!" Emmeline replied.
Flapjack and Clover knew this wasn't going to make them go away so they knew what to do.
"So what do you two want?" Flapjack asked.
"I want someone who is the best grudby player ever!" Maya replied.
"Lame!" Clover stated.
The crab palismen glared at her.
"What about you, Ghost?" Clover asked.
"I don't know, I want the owner to decide their path and I will follow," Ghost replied.
'Hmmmm, I guess I might do that too..." Flapjack thought.
The five palismen then heard Bat Queen's voice through a nearby speaker. She was telling all the selected palismen to gather at the entrance to be taken to Hexside.
Emmeline jumped onto Clover's back and then her and Flapjack flew off to avoid the crab and cat.
They arrived at the entrance to see Bat Queen standing on a wooden platform.
"Yi yi, I is the Bat Queen! I will be taking the selected to Hexside so they can be adopted by the students. Now you may get in this nest thing!" Bat Queen stated.
All of the palismen huddled inside the giant nest and the Bat Queen then lifted it and began to fly.
"Eeeeee, I can't wait Flap!" Clover screamed in excitement.
"Y-yeah... me too," Flapjack mumbled.
He loves Clover's optimistic and how she thinks everything will turn out for the best, and he wishes he could think like that too. He was worried that what if the two never get to see each other again? What if this is the end of their friendship?!
The red cardinal then realised that he couldn't see where Ghost was.
"Where's Ghost?" He asked Emmeline who was sitting on the other side of him.
"Apparently, she's being flied off to Blight Manor because they payed for a palismen that wasn't already discarded!" Emmeline explained.
'Wait a second, Ghost hasn't been abandoned?!' Both Flapjack and Clover thought.
A few minutes later, they then felt the nest land on the ground. They could hear Bat Queen, another lady and a man talking.
Suddenly, the door of the Nest flung open and the Palismen could see the light.
They ran out and looked up at the students. There were so many witches that Flapjack and Clover thought there wouldn't be enough Palismen for all of them.
A girl with bushy black hair and glasses caught Clover's eye. The girl stated her wish and the Bat Queen assigned the bee palismen to her.
Flapjack realised he didn't even get the chance to say goodbye to her. He felt a tear come out of his right eye and tried to fly away but a man caught him.
"Nope, you're staying right here!" Principle Bump said and placed Flapjack back.
"Awww, lil' rascal!" The cardinal heard a girl say.
One by one, Flapjack watched his friends and enemies be adopted by the Hexside students. He was really sad about this but there was nothing he could do, he was just a weak, useless and lonely palismen.
Then, Flapjack heard the girl from before. The girl who called him a rascal. He looked over to see her struggle to figure out what she wanted.
'Hmmmm, I guess me and her are both very indecisive. She could be a good owner?' Flapjack thought about that decision.
When he snapped back out of his thoughts, he saw the girl walk off with a lady with big, grey hair.
'I could go after her butttttt... I think she'll be back again,' Flapjack thought...
...And he was right!

[Timeskip to later that day...]

Flapjack was now back in the nest because no one wanted him. He was just hanging out with the rest of the palismen no one wanted either.
He then saw the door open. The girl from before was back again!
'I knew it!' Flapjack was very impressed of him prediction skills.
He was going to tell her that he wanted to be her palismen but he was a bit too shy.
She then started sharing her ideas on which palismen she wanted what she wanted to do.
It was all a little too much for Flapjack.
'Yeah umm... she's a little too... extroverted... for me,' He realised...
He could feel the nest swinging in mid-air but he just ignored it because it wasn't important right now, he wasn't important right now.

[Timeskip to when Luz sees Hunter lying on the ground, you know, the bit where she slaps him]

Flapjack and Luz see a boy lying on the floor. He looked 'quite' young and he had a strand of hair that led over his face. The cardinal thought that was hilarious.
'Haha, noodle' He thought.

[Timeskip to when Luz steals Hunter's staff]

'Ok, I think this "Golden Guard" guy is quite cool. He's hilarious, I love his noodle, he could be a good owner' Flapjack was starting to come to a good decision.

[Timeskip to near the end of the episode]

Flapjack flew off and back to Palismen forest. He went to find the Bat Queen's House and nocked on the door.
She opened and the cardinal flew over to her ear to whisper his decision.
"Ok so, I just went on this really crazy adventure with a human and a 'witch?' and I think I have found who will be my new owner!" Flapjack whispered.
"You found someone after all this time? Go then," Bat Queen agreed with him.
Flapjack flew off...
Meanwhile, Hunter was stressing over everything that had just happened today. He met a gullible human named Luz and had just beaten up Kikimora.
"I can help, if I just knew a little more..." He said, thinking about what has been happening to his uncle.
Then he heard some chirping. He realised it was the cardinal palismen from before.
He tried to strangle Flapjack but he chirped and so Hunter let go.
"Oh! Sorry. You shouldn't be here... it'd be bad if Belos saw you..." Hunter apologised in a mumble.
Then, Flapjack went into staff form.
'I love him, he's going to be such a good owner. I hope nothing bad happens to me!' Flapjack thought happily...
