My eyes are always searching for you

Chapter 51

I was very nervous on my first day. I was scared to do anything and confused if I should ask something or not. But everything worked out and I have been working in MODA for 1 week now. I have understood how things are done here. I have learnt who can help me out or who shouldn't be bothered. Well I'll explain that later. Right now I am sitting on my desk and thinking about what just happened.

So this morning I entered the lift and found that guy whom I met on my interview day. Wait a minute what was his name? Lee nam .... Lee nam joon. Yes... That guy. He was in a well fitted suit. I would say it fitted him too well. It was looking perfect on him. He had that Aura of a CEO. But he is just a fresher in the company like me. Your Dressing style can actually change how people will look at you I realised after I observed him. Anyone will obey he has that aura. He was just a fresher but he looked like a CEO. I smiled and said, "Oh hii. Nam Joon."

The man behind him coughed at this.

Nam Joon smiled kindly and said, "Hello Miss Sarah."

I replied, "Oh you remember me? I didn't know you also got the job. And please don't call me Miss Sarah. Why are you being so formal? We both are freshers at this company. We can hang out."

The man behind him coughed again. Does he have cold or what?

Nam Joon smiled again but this time he had a mischievous look on his face. His smile reminded me of Minho again. Dear heart please forget about Minho! Can you?

He said, "Okay. Miss.... I mean Sarah."

I smiled and said, "Oh, so in which department are you in? Do you wanna grab lunch together today? are you also going to the company hall? Everyone has been asked to gather in the hall. CEO of this company wants to make some announcement. I guess I can meet the actual owner of this company today." I was curious to see him. I heard he is very young and attractive. But I reminded myself no-man-in-my-life decision that I made. I don't need any other complications in my life.

Nam Joon said, "Yeah. I am also going to be there in the hall. But I have some work to do first. I'll join you later. Miss... I mean Sarah."

I giggled at his inability to say just Sarah instead of Miss Sarah.

He continued before leaving the elevator, "Let's meet at lunch."

I nodded.

I went to the hall to find Laura. She is my colleague. She know 6 languages and have been working for MODA for 3 years. She is really friendly and became my friend on the first day itself.

Behind Laura, Ji Eun was standing with her file. She is the Wikipedia of our department. She has joined recently just like me, but she knows everything about the company. She was too excited to see the hot and attractive CEO who have been the topic of all the unmarried as well as married women of the company.  She told me that he has inherited MODA and he is the eldest son of Lee family. Lee Family is one of the powerful families in the business world. They know how to do business and have been getting richer through generations.

Well. This means the CEO will be the spoiled kid of the family. He will be some brat born with a gold spoon.I even imagined his family. A well maintained arrogant women will be his mother who is too proud and always follows the tradition. His father would be a strict not so talkative man who rarely sees his family. CEO will have a little sister who has a bad temper and doesn't respect anyone. Yes that's how the korean rich families are in the drama. I know dramas are just an exaggeration but sometimes they also show the reality. Well why am I even imagining a person's family when I haven't even met the person itself? This overthinking is getting out of hand now.  I don't really care who our CEO is. I'll be working here for 6 months. That's it.

A little voice inside my head spoke up. 'But he is hot and attractive! Maybe he'll fall in love with you just like in dramas! '

Oh shut up Sarah. Come out of your fantasy. I was scolding myself when everybody started clapping. The head of our department said, "Please welcome the CEO of MODA"  Just then CEO entered the hall. Everyone became quiet.

I wasn't really interested in announcement and was busy  reading the notes for the next meeting when I heard his voice. "Hello Everyone."

I looked up to find Lee Nam Joon on the stage. I lost my grip on my notepad and it fell down.

My jaw fell with my notepad. As I mentioned it was already pin drop silence in the hall. I was surprised that the one I thought is a fresher is actually the CEO. Now I am embarassed as well, as everyone turned to look at me. Even the CEO stopped and looked at me.

I picked up my notepad and said, "Oh sorry. Please Continue."
