My eyes are always searching for you

Chapter 10

Minho gave me a brief on what and how I need to do things while I meet the investors. He looked so cool as he explained everything to me. I thought it would be wonderful to have such a hot and attractive boss.

After that, We all had dinner. Alex announced that he is going to meet some friends tomorrow. I knew Emily will accompany him.

Alex told me that they won't be back till late at night. I was worried as only I and Minho will be there at home. I didn't want to be alone with him as I couldn't stop myself from falling for him again. I didn't want things to be awkward.

With a lot of effort, I have convinced my heart that I won't like him anymore and if I will be left with him alone, I may act foolishly and may make the situation quite awkward. I was thinking all this when Minho too, announced that he have some urgent matter to deal with and will leave for a meeting early in the morning.

Emily said, "Oh. Sarah will be left alone at the house on the weekend." She looked at me pitifully and said, "You will be bored at home. You can come with us if you want."

After today's kitchen incident, I'd rather stay at home than disturb this affectionate couple, I thought.

I replied, "oh no. It's fine. You can go."

Minho turned to me and asked, "Will you be alright alone at home?"

Is he worried about me? I felt a bit happy.
"Of course. I will be okay. I have to prepare for my Japanese exam, so I'll stay at home and study." I made up this excuse.

After finishing our dinner, I and Minho washed the dishes, and then he went to take a bath. I was going to my room when I noticed his diary lying open on the table near the Sofa. I didn't mean to peak, but I noticed that his schedule for tomorrow was written on the page. He had three meetings tomorrow, and he won't be free till 10 pm. I understood that I will be alone at home for the whole day tomorrow.

The next morning, when I woke up, everyone had already left. But there was breakfast on the table. I opened the fridge and found cold coffee with a note, "FOR SARAH" with a cute smile. I wondered if Emily did this but she had never left such a note. Maybe Alex gave her the idea to do so. It was such a cute note that I stuck it on my mirror.

I enjoyed my breakfast and took a long refreshing bath. I watched some videos when I realized it was already 2 pm. I decided that I will order some pizza for myself.  Today was going to be an amazing day as no one was going to bother me, I thought.

I was about to order pizza when the doorbell rang. I was a bit surprised when I opened the door. It was Aiko and she was crying!

I told her to come in and asked "what happened?"
She hugged me and said, "I fought with Hideo today." and continued sobbing.

Please note that here she is talking about her boyfriend Hideo, who is hot, dashing, and very very veryyyyy rich. Hideo Kobayashi was the only heir of the Kobayashi brand, famous for making luxurious and branded handbags. Aiko has a collection of handbags that are so expensive that I can live my whole life with the money I get by selling them.

Aiko is beautiful no doubt, but she belongs to a normal family and currently trying her best to be an experienced doctor.  In this situation, one may think that Aiko must be the one after Hideo. But the truth is Hideo fell in love with Aiko at first sight.  He saw her on the street while she was helping an injured kitten.

What Hideo loved about Aiko was she was really hardworking and kind. The only problem was sometimes they fail to understand that they both come from different worlds. Each has its own problems and beliefs.

So, they sometimes misunderstand each other and fight. Whenever this happens Aiko runs over to my apartment and always tries to complain about her boyfriend. This is what was happening today.

I always try to calm her down but the thing is, she never listens to me and keeps on repeating what happened and how Hideo was wrong. I knew I can't handle it so I thought I should call Hideo. They should talk and get things straight. I was about to search for my phone when the doorbell rang again.

This time, it was Hideo. I said, "oh, I was about to call you."

Hideo said, "Thanks Sarah, I'll take it from here." and went into the hall. I knew that he will calm her down as this has happened in the past as well.

Hideo brought flowers for her and sat down on his knees near her and looked up at her face. She was looking down, tears running down her cheeks. He wiped her tears with his hands and said, "Please don't cry. I am sorry. It was my fault. I shouldn't have interfered in your work."

Aiko looked at him and said, "Why did you ask the head doctor to give special attention to me while I was just an intern? I never wanted special attention. Everyone at the hospital is suspicious about me as Mr. Tanaka especially inquires about me." She continued sobbing.

"Baby, I am sorry. Mr. Tanaka is my father's acquaintance. I know I shouldn't have done that but I really wanted to help you in your career."

He continued, "See, I brought you flowers. Please smile, you know I can't bear to watch you cry...... Okay. So, to lighten up your mood, let's have some choco-chip ice cream. What do you think?"

Aiko has calmed down now as she said, "First promise me. You won't do this again."
Hideo gave her forehead kiss and said, "Promise, My love."
She blushed.

The thing is, I was watching all this while standing near the pillar in the hall. Ugh, there was too much sweetness in the air. It will give me diabetes, I thought. They are making me real jealous? how can they be so sweet? plus why am I even watching them getting all lovey dovey? ugh.

They stood up and Hideo said, "Let's have ice cream, Sarah. Come with us."

After all this, I wasn't in the mood to eat anything sweet. I politely refused their offer as I knew they didn't really want me to join them. First Emily and Alex now Hideo and Aiko!  Why do these couples even ask me to join when they know that I know they don't really want me to join them?! What's with this formality? do I look that lonely? Don't they know I am single!?

They went back as they walked while hugging each other. I knew this would happen as I knew they both love each other a lot. They fight often but resolve it quite quickly.

That was enough drama for today and now I wanted to relax for the rest of my day.
After enjoying my pizza, I was full. I lay down on the Sofa where Minho usually sleeps. I wondered what he thinks while lying here on the sofa. I was thinking about Minho and imagining him sleeping on the sofa when the doorbell rang Again!!!
